hey everyone this is my first thread im pretty new to the site but enjoyy all the comments and and tips everyone gives .
i know im not the only one this happens too, you playing along in a tourny or cash game waiting for nice hands to advance and boom KK , initially im excited like anyone would be so i bump the pot get 2 callers and i get this crap feeling cause i knowwwww whats coming ... a damn A on the flop!! and it seems like its everytime!! so what do i do? just limp with kings ? try to save money cause i know kings are ace magnets?. its just so frustrating losing to some donk who called a big raise with a 6 off suit and gets an ace.
am i the only one who believes that kings are ace magnets??

lol, I was playing a $3K freeroll on PKR on sunday night, I came 213th out of 1380 (or something close to that) and top 200 paid. I was coming about 40th in chips, I was 2nd biggest stack on my table, biggest stack was playing loose and put in a small raise pre-flop, i re-raised with KK and he shoved, snap call - I've stopped playing MTTs just to reach bubble, i play to win now, and he flips A 9. Although, to be fair, I didn't lose because of an ace, he hit a flush. Was annoying to go out then, especially like that.

Hi baxter01.
An A in the flop isn´t the end of the world, my friend!! Only if one of the other players show strong you can think fold. Preflop never limp KK you don´t want many callers with a premium.

I win pot with KK a lot of times and of course I lost with KK and not always becouse was AA, but most becouse of flash and sets. KK is good start hand, but you must remeber that KK can loose and each time you must play it in diferent way, all depends if you play rings or MTT, what players are at table, your position and some others factors.
All those big pocket pairs are weak against 2 or more players getting into a pot so to avoid losing with them... try to get only 1 player calling you... indeed it depends in which situation you're as there are certain limits players gamble much more...
In brief you have to be lucky if you want your QQ or KK holds in low limits games as it's where they are cracked most frequently.

LOL Paul - are you serious or is this irony in your post ?
Sometimes it feels theres too many aces on deck, I used to think pkr has 10 aces on deck eg. - much more easier to do the odds %

no, but Jacks are crazy anyway... loose against AK, loose with AK against them...
