I think its a cardrunners vid but im not completly sure but there was a player who was destroying the tables by playing between 40-45%. He was also playing like a complete maniac and was 3 betting a lot of pots.
As long as your making a profit then thats the way you should play poker. You almost certainly have space to loosen up a bit. Getting tighter would likely be a mistake. When you loosen up you will be faced with many more difficult situations. If you are comfortable with your game keep it as it is. If you think you would like to push the envelope more try playing more hands. It will likely be a lot higher variance so it may also be worth considering dropping down stakes while you are "learning" to play a looser game.

IMO it depends a LOT on the limit you are playing. If you're playing under nl50 then I'd advise NOT to see more than 25% because you'll get called in too many situations and re-raised and such. If you're playing nl50 and above then I'd say see more flops. Playing TAG @ shorthanded NL100 is not generally profitable.
But playing TAG @ nl10 shorthanded will probably see a nice profit. Where as LAG wont.

Posted by shokaku: 20 to 25 percent isn't bad. Play more in late position, play less in early position. And of cause a lot depends on the table.
Sounds right but i dont try and stick to these rules as i find it stiffles my creativity...lol i know during a multi table tourny my best results have come from 15% ( so tight )lol
