Ok, so PartyPoker has this 5k Drive to a Dream vibe at the moment. You can either qualify through the freeroll where 7000 people play and top 25 qualify (which frankly is crazy)
or
there is the 20 points, 200 player tournament where top 100 get a seat...
There is just not a chance in hell I'd play that freeroll where top 25 qualify. Respect to the people that do, and are willing to sit there for 10+ hours to do so though. Once played a 0.10c tournament on FT with 7000 people played. Played for 9.5 hours, came 23rd (after AA cracked by AK) and got $2.65 for my effort. Since then I vowed never to play in a tournament like that ever again as the time you put in for your reward is just not worth it...

Absolutely right! It's just frustrating playing these freerolls for hours on end and getting nothing or next to it for your hours spent at the PC. It undermines your confidence as well, at least for me.
I qualified to round 2 in the Drive the Dream thing via the point qualifier. 25 points, and it wasn't that hard. The next round, we'll see...

I agree in part. I've played more than 10 hours in the PS to win incredible $ 0.4 ... this made me angry and made me promise never to play this kind of tournament. The following week I was playing again! And on, it is possible to play the 10 hours for fun! IMO '

I payed the 25 pp and made it into the 5k. The points qualifier was very easy 155 entrants with 100 going through. Just had to play safe poker. Won $3 from the 5k tournament.
I played 3x that 25points quali. of course qualified 3xtimes for the Drive the Dream 5k got 8th and 50 th received 2 tickets for the 15K Drive the dream wich was really a farce. Pretty good players around and carddead for me twice there. No chance at all to even get into the money. Liked the promo but the 15K is very hard to beat. Even as their dealers in the 15k

I can understand that's frustrating to play a freeroll for so many hours and don't win more. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about the prize pools in these freerolls since it's something Party Poker decide. We are just really happy to be able to offer freerolls, no deposit bonuses and other great offers (free WSOP tickets, points races) at Party Poker to help poker players around the globe build up a nice bankroll.

lol thats freerols for 8- or more hours its terrible there u can get just some cheap $ i never play them or play just for fun come in earlie position puah some all ins and if win just leave the game and at the end win 10 or more cents just for fun it but there are to many i think peoples who play freerolls every day and hope for the luck good luck them

I screwed up the last 5k tourney, but I´ll have a go this week to get in for the coming weekend. It´s on saturday though, not always sure i´m home then. But i´ll post a thread if I´m in.

I was up to almost 60$ with my BR (after taking 2 months brake from poker = exactly when I got my NDB) and blew it all on MTT's and some 2/4 cash (bad BR management + lots of bad beats from donkeys = WIN ) So now the 5K tourney is my last chance to get some moula lol If I don't run semi-decent I'm screwed bleah
