Im not sure, but i thought someone said that he had won over a million dollars in three days last week. He is on full tilt all the time. It seems like him and matusow just exchange money on a daily basis.

Yeah Gus is pretty sick a month ago or so he made 1 mil Dollar in under 24hour online at FTP. But he also has some nasty downswings sometimes even just bad play. Which he also admit's....he has a problem with when to say stop and he also lose huge amounts in sportsbetting. He recently said that he is now 60% pokerplayer 30% buisnessman and 10 % compulsive gambler. I think this is hilarous and Gus is allways sharp in his answers to the media Smile

Just look at FTP and the table in red probally with the highest avg pot is the one with gus. I think hes a reckless player but entertaining to watch. I think 25k isnt that bad for gus ive seen him lose 100k

yeah not bad at all... but its insane on how high stake the games they play are... i could only imagine taking down 1 million in 24 hours... that would be a dream.

Yea that is true, to them it is like $10 to us. They dont thing anything about it , because when they win, they pull in upwards of a million. I just dont understand why the pros are always playing against each other. You would think they would play alot of amateurs. Alot of people are just itching to sit down with them.

I took screenshots of those hands and i know that it is spending money to him and those hands proves just that. But i think he went on tilt because he took a break afterwards.

Let´s not forget that just because they are pro´s doesn´t mean they are invincible and that they don´t have the same weaknesses as all other players. They too are donkeys sometimes, fishes sometimes, terrible players sometimes. The difference is, they do this for a living, so they have mastered the art of recovering after a downswing, and mastered the art of maximising profits after great wins. Thumbs Up

I know that Gus can play good at times. But he likes to play some weak hands. Daniel Negraneu also like to play the low suited connectors. I just wouldnt be able to play those hands much and make any money. I guess they just know how to bet right in the situations.

I think that Gus is a compulsive MANIAC, who can´t play poker against other pro´s unless he gets lucky! But, of course, I have to respect the fact that he reached the postition in which he is now. I guess that out of all the reckless maniacs out there, he is number 1. So, to all you Gus fans out there, I´m sorry but it is my honest opinion.

One thing in favor of Gus is that fortunately, players like him exist, or else the game would be mighty boring!

has anyone watched the gus hansen tourney from poker superstars three where he had to win his 6 person table to get to the next round.

that was absolutely crazy. this is a link to the first quarter of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq3zZbj8TDE&feature=...

he got really lucky but i also understand why he played it the way he did, the blind structures of the tourney were large even in the very first level and he was playing against tough competition so couldnt rely on being able to out playing them post flop
