Ya its real alright, there was a bbc hour long show all about it from the beggining over a year ago. He made a deal to "sell" his name for 17k of the money he raised to do promos for the company for 2 years after he made the bet win or lose.

This kind of reminds me of Stu Ungar. Just the way Stus life was a gamble and he would always gamble right down to his last dollar. This is an amazing story though. Kind of makes you wonder what would have happened if he had lost.
