BigBetPoker 100% first deposit "bonus" is a con  +1

I have done some calculations and The "BigBetPoker" 100% deposit bonus is a con.

Forget the 120% bonus claimed as the extra 20% is only for Monkeybookers deposits, so it's not applicable to everyone.

Basically, their 100% bonus only amounts to a MAXIMUM of 50% if you deposit $25 or less and then progressively less the more you deposit.

BigBetPoker awards Reward Points at the following rates:

100 per $1 rake for Bronze Level (0-25000 points)
150 per $1 rake for Silver Level (25000-100000 points)
200 per $1 rake for Gold level (100001+ points)

While you are "earning" your first deposit bonus, BigBetPoker will give you 200 reward points per $1 rake, regardless of your level.

Reward points are redeemed for $1 per 1000 points earned.

Here are 3 examples:

Example 1: (deposit $25)

$125 rake = 25000 points = $25 cashback

However, a new player WITHOUT any deposit bonus would still earn 12500 reward points for the same amount of rake which could be redeemed for $12.50

So, the actual amount of "bonus" for a $25 deposit is only $12.50 = 50%. The other $12.50 you earn anyway so this cannot be regarded as a bonus.

Example 2: (deposit $100)

$500 rake = 100000 points = $100 cashback

However, a new player without any deposit bonus would earn 62000 reward points for the same amount of rake which could be redeemed for $62.50.

This is calculated as:

$250 rake at Bronze Level = 25000 points
$250 rake at Silver Level = 37000 points

So, the actual amount of "bonus" for a $100 deposit is only $37.50 = 37.5%. The other $62.50 you would earn anyway so this cannot be regarded as a bonus.

Example 3: (deposit $750 - this is the maximum for the first deposit bonus)

$3750 rake = 750000 points = $750 cashback

However, a new player without any deposit bonus would earn 700000 reward points for the same amount of rake which could be redeemed for $700.

This is calculated as:

$250 rake at Bronze Level = 25000 points
$500 rake at Silver Level = 75000 points
$3000 rake at Gold Level = 600000 points

So, the actual amount of "bonus" for a $750 deposit is only $50 = 15%!! The other $700 you would earn anyway so this cannot be regarded as a bonus.

A $750 deposit and $3750 in rake for a $50 bonus?! Aww crap!

If this were a true deposit bonus you would NOT have to cash in your reward points to clear the bonus.

My advice = don't bother.

do you really believe that in other rooms the bonus is much more profitable for player?

Chewing your leg off is more profitable than $50 bonus for $3750 rake.

OK, so you do get another $700 rakeback but you would get that anyway from $3750 rake whether you had the bonus or not.

My point is that it's wrong to sell something as a "bonus" when you would earn it (or 85% of it) regardless of whether you had the bonus or not.

a lot, if not most, site deduct your bonus from your rakeback. This is very common. Rakeback is basically a permanent bonus anyway, they generally don't stack them.
