Just last night i won my first freeroll. It was on carbon poker ($200 omaha pl winning $50). It was a bit of a landmark for me as i am still learning the different games. I havent played omaha much before(apart from one or two freerolls) but found it alot safer than texas hold'em no limit(which is what i normally lose at) Just wondering other peoples opinions of omaha vs texas holdem
But watch out ... omaha (plo) is a game with high varience and you will experience far more "bad beats" then with holdem. So don't start playing the cash games before you truly understand the game, because you could be in for a ride . For example losing 5 buy in't at plo isn't really that special while losing them with holdem you got a problem with your game. So keep on learning the game and keep on playing good luck.

hello, today i won some money it was very much. ferdi style. a cat is sitting besides me and im drinking cow milk but i think that goat milk is better but my mom thinks sheep milk is beast but bad for you. some people might consider that this speech is a bit weird. so now im going to tell you about my freeroll win. i participated in a party pokerfreeroll and after playing two hours i managed to take the first place in the tournament and i even finished first Unfortunately the grand price was only ten dollar

Congrats, and as said above varience is huge on amaha, at low levels you can expect a lot of bad beats and compleat donks, but we all start some place. As for the question, a cat to kick...hmmm maybe I should get one of them instead of a stress ball. If playing a tourn I like to strum my guitar during the first stage.

congratulations on your first win! Obama is a game that i've had major problems with.
Myself had not any luck today. I played a freeroll on pokerstars and ended 25/10k. Needed to get top18 to get paid lost everything AQs against TT. Wasn't fun at all, was so close.
I choose NL hold'em over omaha anytime. As someone posted above, the variance is huuge.

When I first started poker, I played approximately 40 freeroll tournaments before I made it in-the-money (ITM). My first cash payout was a whopping $1.00 (LOL).

carefull you lose hell ov a lot more in plo cash games to nlh cash games the swings can be rediculus in plo just be carefull with that free bank roll lol gl

i look at omaha as a texas hold'em with training wheels got those extra 2 cards ''just in case'' and omaha H/L your ''protected'' even more.congrats on your win..keep it up
Power Poker is also now running two Omaha freerolls every night. Very good games with no more than 80 playing them. Only $25 prize fund but top 15 pay and the play is very loose.
A great way to learn the game.
So far I've turned a zero bankroll into over $30 playing just those Omaha freerolls.
Congratulation. I win my first freeroll the day before yesterday, i only win just 21.9 EUR, and this freeroll was a texas holdem. I never play omaha freeroll until now so i cant make difference between them
