Greg "Fossilman" Raymer, the 2004 WSOP Main Event champ, has been doing very well so far in PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker. He ended up in 13th place in event #25 for $4,000 and made it all the way to the final table in event #27 where he got knocked out in 3rd place ($10,000). It will be interesting to see if any other big names will have as big success in 2010 WCOOP as Greg Rayme[...] Read more » WCOOP: ex-World Champion Greg Raymer places high in 2 events

i think 30$/60$ Blinds are good money where u can life from and he not the risk as the other pros that he lost much money like gus hansen.I think thats a good management to play poker the rest of his life and he had all what he want
Yesterday i was watching some of pokerstars pro players at WCOOP and, sincerely, some of them plays like a potatoe. KidPoker (Daniel Negreanu) fastly went from 10,000 chips to 1,500 and Marcel Luske from 30,000 to 5,000, playing IMHO a poor poker. I think they are goods playing live poker because they read oppenents very well. But online .... they suffer. It's not strange that a pro reach final table in such tournament because there are so many pros!

I have no personal experience watching them DaMessiah666 - but I'd find that easy enough to believe.. Live & online are two VERY different games.. The skill set required for each is pretty different and if you developed your talent live, I'd imagine you'd be a bit like a fish out of water playing online..
Obviously there's plenty of professionals who are proficient in both arts. But yeh, I definitely wouldn't be surprised to see some legends of the live game fail online.

Greg Raymer is by all means one of the most consistent players around. Seems like he does well in the WSOP year in and year out, and I have seen him play and finish well online as well. Online poker is a totally different experience than playing a live game. Most live players rely on reads, and when playing online pretty much all you have are betting patterns and previous hands. Nice to see Raymer still doing well. Since he won the Main Event I have thought of him as one of the best around.

hes a solid consistent pro and his results prove that. but after winning the main event in 2004 hes not been playing much except wsop games, cos of his dispute against WPT.
