i plan to deposit about USD100 on nordic bet in a week. i want to know what would be a good and profitable strategy to use. thinking of playing .25/.50 and moving up after that. please tell me if this is wise.

Why playing 50nl in the beginning - since you are already startin on edge of going broke with 2 hands just go to 400nl and buy in 25bb

Agree with the Dom. just my add: - if you are going to play fullstack a NL50 a buyin is $50 and you need at least 30 buyins to respect a minmum of bankrollmanagement so make you calculation ($1500 anyway). - if you are going to play SSS (shortstackstrategy) buy in is 20 bigblind (if nordicbet allow you to do so...in several pokerrooms minimum buyin is 35BB) so $10 and you need at least 50 buyins ($500 in this case).
so it better to play lower levels with $100 in my opinion

I would recommend you some MTT`s and SnG`s at NordicBet poker cause I think those are pretty easy to win in there. Play under 5€ buy-ins & make some profit.

bit steep blinds there for $100,very nice site though,try sign up for rakeback here if u can and check out some bankroll management tips so you wont go broke in a day or 2,believe me it can and will happen if u play such high stakes when all your money is in on 1 or 2 games

yeah 0.02/0.04 is right way when you have patience and you must have patience in poker to build a good bankroll. You can play 0.05/0.10 when you want and when you lost 20-30$ on this level you go to the smaller limit 0.02/0.04. As i start with poker i´ve make money with SNG and Tourney´s and lost it in cash game had make full buyin from 10$ 0.05/0.10 but thats was not good for me. So i´ve changed and decide i go only with the half on the table 5$ and leave the table when i´ve reached 8$ or more thats had me help in the beginning. And make for you a limit when you stop playing.Maybe you say when i lost 15-20$ a day i stop playing now and start tommorow again.Thats a little help to go not tilt when you have a bad run. I´ve my main site where i play and 2-3 other sites with a small bankroll between 5-30$ in the most time(my tilt sites).When i lost on my main site to much money and i will play more poker.I switch to one of the other site´s so i risk not my full bankrol or when i go tilt,come back drunken from a party or had too much stress and my head is not free to play good poker then i play on this site´s thats is was me help. you better start with lower tables, and then go up and up if you are winning. i dont know how nordicbet is but you should deposit to a site so you an get bonus on your first deposit. as well rakeback . play both cash games and sngs.

have you ever played at NL50 ? if you did , it;s not really that dangerous ... you might not bust them in your first days ) , but if you didnt id advise you to take another bonus ... on another site , and let this one to later , when you have 500 $ to deposit ... so you can clear easy that 2000 $ bonus ( if im wright )
PS : bonus doesnt mean they give you money from their pockets its just a big rakeback !

As the other posters have mentioned, playing NL50 with just two buy-ins is very risky. Playing fixed limit on that stakes with just 100 bucks would be better.

hey man - maybe he'll go on a rocket - blast up to $2k in like a day or so.. happens a LOT more than nitty grinders would like to believe. Of course, people with this tendancy generally lose that amount just as quick as they made it. Despite the old "once I reach $1K" (etc) amount I'll play sensible BRM. Fact is if you don't build the discipline earlier, you're not suddenly gonna have it later.

okay. so depositing $100 and playing .25/.50 is out of the question.. basically i want to deposit as much as i can to be able to access nordic bet's bonus offer of 4000% and the condition is that i play 2500 raked hands to get 200 euros in bonus.
so i guess i'll try to deposit something like $200 and play .02/.04 for a while..

Try smaller bonuses first, where you can release the bonus with play at lower limits. Party Poker would be an option. If you have biuld up your roll a bit you can still aim at the higher bonuses.

Do not try 25/50 with that kind of bankroll unless you have a lot of experience. Even if you do, you wouldn't have enough money for like twenty big blinds, and what are the odds to hit a nice hand in twenty hands? Slim to none, in case of my lousy luck.
