Jovicakralj's blog  +8
Well guys and girls I decided to write first blog in my life here! I hope someone will read it Tongue
I will probably made one serious poker blog on blogger where I will post videos and stuff. I hope admin will allow me to post address of that blog here...
About me:
Im 24 years old, born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, finish college in Serbia and now living in Serbia trying to find job in my profession. I lost my job 6 months ago (I was barmen there) and I had lot of free time so I decided to start playing poker more seriously. It is pretty good so far. I make around 500$ in month and that is more then I was making on my job (BALKANS Big Smile ) So I am GRINDER Big Smile
I listen RNR (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors...), love mystery movies, fan of Partizan (all sports)
My favorite poker players are Daniel Neagranu, Gus Hansen and Chris Ferguson...
Poker:
I play SNG and MTT mostly. Im not profitable at cash. I dont know why. I play from 1 to 10$ games. most of time 3-5$ games. And I play on LOT of different sites! I prefer small room because I find that there promotions and tourneys have big value. And I got bored playing non stop on same rooms. I love changes. I will attach some graphs from rooms that I play on now.

My goal is to keep earning for living playing poker (until I find good job) and maybe start earning over 1k$ in month.

I will post my results, experience with rooms, strategies, things on my mind and other stuff in this blog and I hope that someone will read it... Blink
See ya soon! Cool

500$ a month might not sound a lot to some but if you can pull that a month your doing fine , depending on how many hours you put in that is , any profit online is good profit! it is so difficult to make a profit on any site nowadays, just sharkscope any stg table your playing most if not all the players will be in the red specially on the minus 10$ buy ins,, like you I have never succeeded on the cash tables , probably because I have never been comfortable on them , anyway well done and best of luck for the future.

500 a month is worth a lot more in balkan states than in UK or ireland so your doing just fine. average wage in balkans is under 500 a month, even in a good job,so best of luck jova to you, also in getting a job.
I am in the same predicament as you, only wish i had the luxury to leave my bankroll in and keep building it instead of needing it to pay a stupid friggin phone bill or something, but at least im getting something back. look forward to your blog.
p.s i thought you would join my club on pokerstars, 49147 and mooncoin is code if u want, every wednesday night at 8 WET,weeky league,12players last wed, first weeek

Great stats man - Hope you can keep it up - if $500 / Mth is better than average wage, then I guess looking into full-time serious grinding is a pretty good option for you.

I've often thought that, in countries where average wage (in US$) is a lot less than those that have close parity to the US, playing poker would be a pretty good option. Since the stakes you would have to play would be comparatively soft for the hourly you could earn.

I feel really happy for you, knowing that you lived almost all your life in the middle of the war. Its good to see that you have a good ambition for your life, and iam sure that if you lived in a better place (with less war and more friendly costums) you could be very sucessfull at your life.

I hope you can make good profit while you dont find a job, but please dont try to live from the poker money. If you have a bad month it will be very painfull for you. This is not a good way of life either. Find a job and try to make an extra bucks, thats how it works.

I think you have a good taste of music, and hope your team keeps on track to go to champions league next season (there is a portuguese player in your team).

I hope we keep receiving updates from your winings.

$500 a month is a very good start, i can remember when i first made $500 i really thought i was good Cool Now i now a lot more and i know there are a lot more factors for being a succesfull poker player. Anyway great start, remember urself that there are also months in the future ur winnings are zero or even negativ cos of variance. If $500 in ur country is a good monthly income then i wud say try to find the best rakeback deal and then grind even more, so lets say with that deal u can earn without profit say $150/$200 a month so if 1 month profit isnt that good u still have ur rakeback earnings.

Goodluck Thumbs Up

I had the chance to meet Gus Hansen at WPT 2007 final table in Peralada. He is a little shy but very nice. He was talking with us while we were having a drink in the Casino bar. I have a card signed by him Smile

Well, last few days was not very good for me... I had really cold cards, bad beats and in few MTT tourneys I have been busted right before final table Sad
Anyway, I didnt lost money... Im even basically because of very, very, very bad players on Ongame (Betsafe) and my very good tilt control and bankroll management Thumbs Up
I cashed out from Betraiser since I have serious doubt in software (Im not saying it is rigged but some thing are really strange there, for example after all in you can see pot going to winner and you haven't yet seen flop or turn...) I have been profitable there and make about 200Euros in 20 days but (tourneys have BIG value there, 100e guaranteed 2e buy in 25 people registered)...I just dont feel comfortable playing there now. Maybe I will make deposit again some day...

I have one challenge to announce! I will probably fail soon but anyway...
I sad in first post that Im not profitable in cash games (and I dont like to play thing that Im not profitable at) but I have received 25$NDB on Cake with condition that I have to make more then 150$ rake in order to withdraw (proves that BRM is best site with best offers) so I decided to practice myself playing only cash with that money. Goal is to rake clear that NDB and earn at least 100$. I will play very tight without bluffs and little passive. Just to try that out... I will post graphs here if I dont bust that money soon...
GL to all! And to me... Blink

I see I am not the only one to have doubts about Betraiser! Getting back in is easy for you though, they have freeroll every night - that way you commit $0. I cashed out in April, got back in through the freerolls and then cashed out in July when their early freeroll was removed. Starting a tourney at 10PM that finishes at 1:30AM when I normally wake up at 4AM not very healthy!

Good luck with your challenge on cash games! Blink

@Tomislav: Thank you my friend! I wish you luck too!
