I know I didn't lose any money but I've been waiting for my connection to be fixed since Tuesday. I've had 3 engineers round all to tell me what I already knew which was that there was no problem at my house. The connection has gone down 3 times in 2 weeks and everytime it hasn't been a problem at my house. Oh well seems to be working now. Dare I risk playing some poker in case it goes down again?

Hell no ,atleast not a heads up tourney , when i switched internet companys to a cheaper company , i played a 10$ 4 player shootout , and my internet went for 3 days fck lol
As soon as I started to play for real money, I set up a back up connection from an alternative provider. It payed off many times. So, now if I get disconnected during the tournament I just switch over to another connection.

Nothing worse! I play from a wireless connection, and it always seems to go when I´m in a HUGE hand, or playing 3 money tournaments. Unbelievable.
Happened just now for 20min, but luckily I´d only started up`one of those freerolls on FT. Going to play some cash ones now, but you learn to live with it. No way to get anything but wireless where I am, so I have no options.

Sometimes happend, its annoying, im in the same situation like you jack.
hahhaa when you see aces in your hand and everything freezout arround anyone speaks u try to ask in chat if is a problem from the software but.... in 30 seconds the connection is recovered and your aces are folded becouse ot the time out....

Had it happen for 2 consecutive hands on Party Poker...JJ rainbow flop including a Jack, lost connection ...folded 4 me, next was worse KK ...Pair of KK's on flop with another player showing AA after I was frozen out by my new 3dongle...bad beat beats it all...be philosophical, coulda been worse, coulda been 3 times in a row...

Arg ! it's the worst aye ! I've hardly been playing poker at all lately - due to connection problems.. Just last couple weeks seems to have come good again.. Prior to that, for about a month or more it was disconnecting every 30s-5minutes.. Basically unusable. And the couple days during that time it seemed to be ok - i try playing poker and I just lose due to disconnections - so infuriating.
Definitely don't risk playing poker - i swear nothing makes you angrier than trying to play a hand and disconnecting part-way through it - only to lose to some monkey you just trapped !

I can tell you, it is quite more frustrating if you play the Sunday Million on PokerStars, you have a Stack of about 40.000 and a good chance to come ITM, and suddently the internet connection fails omg I was running, calling the company, but no chance... no connection broadband, and no connection by my backup mobile access next day, I saw, I went out about 500 places before PayOut...

I was having multiple problems and considering switching carrier, when they phoned me and scheduled a technician visit, explaining that they were having problems in my sector. The technician was very knowledgeable, fixed a bunch of bad connections, and provided a new, better router. Since then 99% good!

If you have an laptop you should just have hauled ass to the nearest internet cafe / library for another internet connection ... or you should have asked to loan your neighbours internet connection for 5 % of the winnings you make
