Anyone can come here and get the password so my idea is to have the password mass emailed to all members in our mob email or our emails we signed up with. I belonged and still do to a another forum that peeps were getting the password by coming to the forum or the worst part members giving out the password. So she started sending the passwords in our messages at the forum 2 hours before the trny. And for members to give out the password that's the pits since they should know better and also you are allowing not just that person but the friends he or she tells also so there are way more entries to our freerolls. Just a thought but it would help stop password thieves that come to our site and steal our passwords. Any thoughts.

I agree unless you are a member you should not have access to the password. What can be done to prevent this? Do we punish the ones who give them away? Do we create another that only come to the player through their email on the poker site or can Mob email who has a password for that event? What are your ideas?

CM that's what I'm trying to say is just have the password sent to our mob email accounts any moron can see BankrollMob at the top of the freeroll and come to the site and get the password even if it isn't posted until 15 mins before hand. A lot of freeroll players know the password isn't given out till 15-30 mins. before the freeroll.
you have to be a member here at bankrollmob.com to see the password, other member here give the password out sorry to say which spoils it not any1 can come here and see the password the problem lays here with our own members,

THATS ALL FINE BUT THERE ARE MEMBERS HERE WHO JUST TAKE WHAT THEY CAN AND NEVER CONTRIBUTE TO THE SITE, AND GO TO OTHER FORUMS AND GIVE OUT PASSWORDS ANYWAY.I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES SO I DONT THINK IT WILL HELP TO E MAIL IT TO MEMBERS, THEY WILL JUST GIVE IT OUT ANYWAY. GO TO ANTY OTHER POKER FORUM,PARTICULARLY FREEROLL FORUMS AND YOU WILL SEE THE PASSWORS FOR NUMEROUS GAMES AND SITE POSTED

Well given that be the case what this forum started doing and it was they didn't pay anyone that placed in the money that wasn't a member that's another way to stop it.
------------ Another thing I would do after a freeroll I would see who is a member and who wasn't that played in one particular freeroll. Now a little work but worth the check to help in the future to see the players that are coming in from outside and this can be done.
------------ Members that get caught should be banned I've seen this at other forums plus the knuckleheads just let more entries into our freerolls so we gotta play longer because they gave out the password. This keeps up it's simple for me I just won't play in them anymore. I've seen password leaking stopped at other forums and it can be done here.

now it depends on what you consider as a member. if i knew a site is running a 50k freeroll then i would also sign up with them just to get the password...but i would never visit them again except they running another big freeroll.
mobmail doenst work either. they will login, read the mail (pw) and share with 1000 others. best = being tracked. then its worth it playing the freerolls for the leaderboard. but this way its even bored to login to FT and annoy some BRM members by playing bingo because 1000 others do it already by going all in with any 2 cards

Why not have the password protected by another password only current members could obtain by logging in to BRM 15 mins before tourney, would save a lot of grief and whingeing, would be quite easy to check tourney registrants against the current BRM members database...
ok,, I see no way to stop the abuse apart from stopping the late registration or getting on to fulltilt and complain which I have don below is a copy of the email I sent, why dont you send 1 too(I will get in the top 200 even if I have to draw blood to do it, its now a crusade)
Hi, as a member of Bankrollmob and a regular forum contributer I would like to draw your attention if it has not been already by other members to the complaints that members who are taking part in the freeroll leauge at the moment have made, what concerns some members is that players are obtaining the password for the freerolls and registering to play when they are not members, I feel that the only way to stop this is to stop late registration, as an example the 2pm freeroll today when the tournament started had 1k entrants half an hour later this had doubled surely this points to abuse,,, with 5 freerolls a day if you are late for one you can always get the next one, this late registration is killing the freeroll for regular BRM members, if you have a look at the BRM forum you will see that this password abuse and late registration is a major complaint by the forum regulars,,,the only way the members seem to think that password leaking can be stopped is to stop late registration, posting the password 10 minutes before the start is not working,, below I have copied a typical post from the forum complaining about the password abuse

i totally agree midnight ,one idea to stop it would be to check all entrants who enter the freerolls to see if they are members ,i know some people might join only to get the passwords but why not make it a condition of the freerolls that all entrants have to have a certain amount of posts made on the forum site of brm to enter / maybe a minimum of 100 posts that way they cant just join and get the password they have to spend time on the site to play
yes and have there ID verified before accessing the password,,, just another observation , the 1000$ freeroll has 47 entries with 4 days to go, 100 points make some difference, if needed I would deposit just to get the 100 points whats the average buy in for a 1k tourney ,, sounds like value to me , the minimum posts would be ok with some but a lot of members have no english I think?

Good commonsense post Midnite, it would be a cinch to write a small applet to verify ID before hitting the hypertext link to obtain the password, a doddle for the techies you employ. I would estimate that 95% of current freerol players have little or no command of the english language, perhaps it is the small end of the wedge...the cold war looms upon the horizon once more...
I think the war is allready apon us and on fulltilt and party we are well outnumbered and suffering , but us scots survived the clearences and we shall survive this I am sieriously considering going back tothat poker site owned by my sattelite provider ,, I think you know who I mean, all brits lots of action,, big tourneys,, a few drawbacks though,, and definately no Russians gypsies ,or eastern bloc

Another thing you could do is have each member make one post to get the freeroll password this way outsiders couldn't make a post so therefore no password anyone got a better idea. And there is plenty of time to make a post between freerolls just another thought
------------ I got even a better idea I'm about done playing these stupid freerolls if you don't make top 3 in $100 ones it isn't worth my time and the odds with the donks out there of reaching top 3 ain't good

These are just ideas and the late registration plays a huge part also as was mentioned already

YES I HAVE ONE THOUGHT
DID YOU EVER THINK THAT THE PERSON LEAKING THE PASSWORD IS THE SAME PERSON THAT OWNS/ RUNS THE LEAKING PASSWORD SITES ?
ITS NOT THE SINGLE PEOPLE GIVING IT TO " FRIENDS" THAT IS THE PROBLEM . IT IS THE SITES GIVING TO TO MASSES .
SO HAVING IT EMAILED WILL DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO STOP THIS PROBLEM.
WE MUST ATTACK THE SITES LIKE FAEBOOK AND TWITTER THAT ALLOW THESE THIEVES TO POST ON THEIR SITES. IVE EXPLAINED BEFORE HOW EASY IT IS TO SHUT DOWN THOSE SITES BUT NOT ONE PERSON IS INTERESTED IN SPENDING 10-15 SECONDS EACH TO DO IT SO ......

AND NO , THAT WONT WORK EITHER .. IT IS THE SITES THEMSELVES THAT HAVE TO BE SHUT DOWN . THE THIEF IS A MEMBER HEAR , AND THEY USE SITES LIKE FACEBOOK AND TWITTER TO PUBLISH THE PASSWORD. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO ATTACK THE SITES THEMSELVES .
SEND OUT PASSWORD 1 MINUTE BEFORE AND HAVE NO LATE REGISTRATION !
why using capslock, my eyes are fine, using caplock on forum posts is taking as the poster shouting, and I for one dont like being shouted at, plus it shows weakness in your argument, not necessary,,stoping late registration will minimise access to non-members, whatever if any steps are taking by those who have the means to stop abuse will still be open to abuse
