i dont know about everyone else here but i was wondering if when playing poker you start of really well winnig hands folding well and generally making the right choose but the longer you stay on and play the more hands you seem to be drawn into and making bad calls bad folds and silly mistakes this happens to alll the time is tihs a problem for anyone else because i know its im getting tierd and losing my concentration but i alwys blame the poker rooms for dealing bad cards not to them in person but i sit in my house cursing them lol

Yea i definately have the same proble. I just got done playing for 7 hours. I was up pretty good but just made a bad call and am now only up $15, so i called it quits for the night.
i definatly get this, and i dont know if its always because im tired that i start to play bad, i think its because as you spend hour upon hour you start to see all the other peoples bad play pay off, and you start to think wow, i should start playing my Q2 off and other crap like that.
i say this because i know it gets worse and worse if i get a couple of bad beats, and i dont mean bad beats like them runner runnering me, but bad beats because only a bad player would have ever called my bets when i was ahead

Hmm..
I think is all about holding your concentration. If you have enough discipline and concentration you can play long sessions, if not, you have to take a break more usually

I believe it would be best to stop for a while if you feel even the slightest fatigue or getting bored. I do that and play my 3d games so when I get back to poker, I'm fresh.
BTW danny, please take time writing and don't just post. try to check your spellings and grammar if possible so we won't have a hard time reading / understanding it. I don't mean to offend you.
I have to agree with im too good for you, it isnt a problem if you honestly dont know any better because i dont believe anyone should be excluded from these forums but if it is possible the odd coma or full stop and checking for typos can go along way.
not meaning to harp on at you, as you still get the message accross, and thats the most important thing

If you notice you are getting worse / tired, then you should take a break... And all MTT's have breaks, go and make some coffee on a break And the largest MTT's are multi-day events, so you can have a good sleep...

I completely agree! I always fing myself playing really badly if I play for more than 2 hours or so. Now, I just try not to play really long sessions. I find its helpful to take a break every hour, have music in the background or something similar!
As for pros in tournaments with really long days, it appears that a lot have admitted to using Ritolin and other drugs to aid concentration. Ritolin is used to treat ADHD.

i've mostly the same problem... but i think in the beginning you play very tight and if you think it goes good, then you call more hands thats my problem mostly.
