Personally I find freerolls fun and challanging. I feel that they make a person play much more disciplined and be more patience.

So what are we talking here 6 freerolls a day, 72 entries per freeroll, 7 days, you compete against around 3000 people who also did the same. Good luck

LOL...oh yeah I know which site you talking about. ALmost every week I qualify for both final freerolls and have made $15.20 from there so far, trying to build it to $50....
Do you think the players on "that site" are not so donkish?I personally think so.

really? more patience? Why is that? i cant believe that you are more patient in a freeroll than in a tourney you really paid your own cash for.

Patience & discipline from a freeroll come on don't make me laugh and if you do win it's $21 for sitting there for well over 6 hrs. For example there was $100 freeroll yesterday that started 9am est and was over at 3pm est that's a big part of the day. You can buy in a trny for $3+30 for example and have about the same field 2800-2900 and the prizes start at 1st-$1,770.50, 2nd a little over a $1,000, 3rd over $800, and 4thover $600, and they pay down to 273-279 for $6.80. But for 3 bucks and those prizes people play poker and not all in every other hand because you can make some descent money for a petty $3. This gets me fired up and wanna play and I do have patience for something worthwhile. You don't win big in poker playing freerolls you may get some $$$ to start a BR but serious players deposit and play for the money.

Depends on the Freeroll. The ones on FT have such a SLOW blind structure, I really learned more patience in those the first half of last month. Strange, I know, but they really did. Pick your spots and try to avoid coinflips.

i like freerolls but only the restricted one with less people. these freerolls are essentially a donkfest and not worth playing if you hav money in your account to play other games where u can win more and play better poker.

if its money that you're after, then these freerolls are really not worth it..too much time consuming for so little payoff.agree with you there.
on the other hand, if you want to play a tourney with no risk involved and just to practice patience, knowing how to pick the right spots, then these freerolls could be worth your extra time.
so far, playing these freerolls have been beneficial for me...i really could see the improvement with my play.I've been going deep in tournaments with regularity.
it really depends on what you want to get out of these tourneys.also, these games are played at night here in manila so it works fine for me .. i play before i go to bed.just turn it off if i'm sleepy already

I would agree that the money in the freerolls are not a whole lot (besides the monthly) however these are great for players who are unwilling or unable to deposit there own money. I have deposited money on stars several times over the last few years and outside of the initial bonus I received I always seemed to miss the new promos that were offered. I would deposit then a week or two later some promo was offered. I downloaded Fulltilt hoping to get a deposit match only to find out I had .68 cents still in there from 2006 that I had forgotten about. I emailed them to see if I was eligible for any bonus codes and was not. Unwilling to deposit anymore money (unemployed) I managed to get the .68 cents up to over 88.00 at one point before having a few drunkin nights where I squandered it. Thanks to BankrollMob and the 1.05 I received for 8th place in a 50.00 tourney I am back on a roll.
Now I know it isnt alot but currently Ive built it up to 8.22 cash 7.20 tourneydollars and a step 3 ticket. I also have played a 26.00 tourney several 3.30 and 2.25 tourneys and a few other micro tourneys where I failed to cash within the last week. And I was able to do this all because of the 1.05 8th place finish in the freeroll.
The 2 tourneys I like is the .25+.05 sat to the daily dollar where 1st and 2nd get a ticket worth 1.00 and the .70+.10 sat to the big little worth 2.20 They are easy 1 table tourneys where players are anxious to see flops and get there chips in and practically hand you the ticket if your patient. From there unregister and collect the tourney dollars and get 3x your buy in. Repeat, play a couple 1.20 sit n go's to build up cash and tourney dollars for a larger buy in tourney.
I think Im a decent player, Im far from great but slowly Im identifing leaks in my game and continue to improve and whether or not people agree with me, I attribute part to experience in freerolls. Donkfests ? yes but no different than cash rebuy tourneys at the start, at least ones Ive played including up to 5.00 buy ins.
