Playing real Poker again.  0
I made thread last week about moving up in the limits and got some great motivational advice.
So today I decided to start playing some "real" tournaments again.

I sign up for the 10K Deepstack on Full Tilt. ($10+1)
My first hand of the game, well... I´ll let the screenshot speak for itself...
All-in after the flop and a HUGE raise from villain.

Just to add that I REFUSE to be out of my fast tourney this fast, so after 15 min of agressive play, I´m back up to 3.000 chips (we start with 5.000).
Hope I can move up again, don´t want to be demotivated from the start.
(guess there is still too much of this "freeroll" bull in my head... Confused

Edit:
While I´m writing this, doubled up to 6.300.
OK, now I can play again... Blink

Well, I´m out... Sad
Guess it´s going to cost me some bankroll to play these guys.
Ran into trip 10´s....pfffff
With the Flush draw and paired the K high board.

This is serious raising with real hands...ie. REAL Poker.
Love it! Big Smile

Well Jack, the best hand pre-flop actually won. If that was me and you in that hand, you would have won. My best hand rarely wins these days. Still in the FTP BRM freeroll, sitting 30th out of 190.....

Yep. I usually go in with the best hand pre-flop, but like i said, with these freerolls I seem to have forgotten what a good hand actually is. Big Smile
And it´s definitely NOT a flush draw K paired board.
I was a bit too agressive, going to take more time to "think" again on the next one before I put my chips in the middle, as it should be. Blink

And good luck on FTP!
(I´m in as well, 110th now, bubble burst, just want to play those $1.000 Leaderboard games end of the month, they are better, so I need some points)

Edit:
Sorry BMWman..forgot your name on FT?

Frankly, the competition level on 10+1 buy-in is still pretty low. Too many donks. I mean, it is far better than freerolls' but still.
Why don't you try 24+2 tourney? I mean, not to buy in directly but qualify through Steps Sit&Goes. You need to reach to Step 3 (which is relatively easy) and then use Step 3 ticket to buy in into the 24+2 tourney.

That´s the plan! Big Smile
Won a few of those step 3 tickets so many weeks back, and yes, it wasn´t very hard.

Was just thinking of playing some $10+1 this week, just to get back into the swing of things.
Played too many freerolls in february. My IQ dropped about 30 points. Confused

And then next week I´ll start using my entries to $24+2.
But thanks for the advice! Blink
Never played that high, looking forward to it.

So you playing "real" poker again...well let me help you out the dream..its anything but real
And you will never win a tournament if the online site doesnt want you 2

Besides that after your remark in another tread i dont think you should play at all

Statistically, you will get pocket AA1 in every 220 hands dealt.
Against 1 opponent, your odds are over 80%, every one knows that.

This will surprise many (it did me), but against 9 opponents, your odds drop down to 31% !!
So you will lose more than 2 out of 3 times going all-in pre-flop against the whole table.
Against 4-5 opponents, you're doing a coinflip at about 50%.

Because statistics is what it is, I'va actually gone more than a week of daily playing without getting pocket AA dealt.
I've also gone a Month (!!) (just before I quit for a while), where my AA held up Pre-flop only 3 out of 10 times against 1 or 2 opponents.
I've also been dealt AA 4 times in only 1 10-seat SnG!

There really are no surprises.
The possible statistical combinations at a 10-seat table considering both value, colour, and seat position are SO huge, it's mind-boggling. (with some decent searching on Google, you'll find that it runs into Billions).

After really spending some time looking all that up, nothing really surprises me in what I see at the tables....ever....

So it suprises you that your odds drop to 31% against 9 opponents with AA pre flop
Then i think you better not post to many things around here anymore
This is so logical if you have any brain...
When do you ever sit all in against a whole table with 9 players pre flop ??
Sertainly not i real cash games or cash tournaments or better real life

And still even if that happens and everybody goes all in pre flop you still win most times
Then you win about 1 out of 3 for a pot of 9 all ins so its still profitable

So it doesnt matter you loose 2 out of 3 because if you win 1 out of 3 you make a profit...

And your coinflip for a pre flop all in against 4-5 player is also great
As long as all the money goes in pre flop its all profitable
You will win 50% of the hands to earn 4-5 times your stack at a time

So what the hell ....lol

@remco2504:

And where did I actually mention "profitability" in these cases?
I was explaining some statistical truths, no more, no less.
Don´t try to "understand" issues which are beyong your understanding...please...
You are not doing yourself any favours this way.

If you were in any way polite, I would handle this differently, but obviously you are not.

I have looked you up, and I advise you not to use the same user name on **removed - irrevelant** forums that you are using here.
(and only dutch speaking people will be able to read those other forums anyway, so don´t panic yet).

And...I will not explain here what your condition is, but you know, so please refrain from posting this garbage in any of my future threads.

Verstaan?

So you trying to hold me beeing realy sick against me ??

And people can read it they just have to translate...so i advise you to remove this info because this had nothing to do with discussing online gambling...but everybody may know that i have been batling a cripling misterious desease for many years now and i have been suffering from this in many ways (mentaly and physical) in my young life..

I can tell you that i havent been on those forums for many months because i am doing better now

ADMINISTRATOR I WOULD LIKE IF YOU WOULD REMOVE THIS TREATS OF ISLANDJACK ABOUT EXPOSING PERSONAL THINGS ABOUT ME WICH HE ALREADY HAS

als je me nog iets te zeggen hebt kun je me persoonlijk bereiken via zo'n forum ok ?

IslandJack & remco2504 will need to behave. There's no need to include any personal info or whatever online activites remco2504 might be doing online, besides on BRM, into this thread.

Admin, you should tell remco that he should stop posting same thing in every tread and that he should stop arguing with other members. I didnt see him posting anything except "online poker is rigged" and insulting people here. This starts to be very annoying! Guy dont have to say anything except rigged, rigged, rigged... OK. He have his opinion, he told us his opinion more times and if he have nothing anymore to say he should shut the f**k up!!!
This forum will go to hell if those guys keep on with posts like this! This is not f**king conspiracy forum! This is not hatefulltilltandpokerstars.com site! I dont recognize this forum anymore...

Well mr/mrs jovikralj i thought this was a forum..and no fan site. Many people here are defending online poker and saying the same thing over and over again....And for insulting people ??..well i have been insulted more then i insulted other btw...but when someone says its amazing to him that if you are against 8 people instead of 1 your odds with AA drop to 31% and in the same tread tells other people that they not listening to his advice i just have to react because the drop in percentage is more then logical with 8 opponents instead of 1...

Well because i have quit online poker i will also stop trying to make a point here because now its getting personal clearly and i have enough problems as it is as you can read in this tread so i dont need the stress trying to make a point

If people would actually try to defend their points or try to react in a normal way at the things i am saying then you can have a normal discussion but appearently you cannot about this subject on BRM...everybody reacts so agresive...i dont understand why...

I wish you all GL and for the last time ...watch out for online poker sites

i am glad that you have find the courage to play at a higher stake and hope you will do fine in future .
of course you will find at almost any stake donk moves , i even believe we all make a donk move from time 2 time but overall at this stakes players take it more seriously .
As about remco , in almost every post you make you start to provocate members or telling that online poker is rigged .
i believe by now that we all know your point of view regarding online poker , it's time to change from disc as i am tired to hear the same song over and over again .
as about Jack , i also believe that personal info about other members even when you have find it online should stay personal but on the other hand do i understand your reaction even when i completely disagree with it.

Dont worry MrNugger...i will not be wasting anymore energie trying to fight a lost cause here because its clearly not apprisiated here
