I'm an average player but as this time have been low on funds but I'm saving my money and making a descent deposit to a poker site of my choice and play poker. I'm sick of these insane donkfest called freerolls that just frustrate me. When you pay to play it's a whole different style of playing poker. This is my plan and I'm going to make it happen like when I was working I made good money and could make descent deposits but it's been awhile because I got sick and now over the last couple of years I'm a better player by reading and studying the different aspects of the game I thought I knew, come to find I didn't know a hell of a lot things about this crazy game. I have a few dollars at a two sites and maybe if I get lucky that will help with my quest to make a good descent deposit where I can play at a little higher stakes and some higher Satellites, SNG's, or MTT's. To the future, Cheers, CrazYhorse

I hope you fair well. I'm a begginer and owe a lot to BRM and the members for their advice / support. I usually ask the basic questions and everyone is really nice to provide good feedback without funning me. I'm wanting to do the same thing your stating. Keep posting your status and how you fare. The information would be great! Good Luck in your quest.

there are also other sites offering freerolls with not so many entrants. I can not name them here in this forum, but take a look around by googling it.

Yep. I started that way on some smaller sites. They don´t offer NDB´s and such, but the fields are manageable. That was my first intro to Poker and they were fun to play. Like GIO says, have a look around. Just make sure before you sign up that they don´t offer NDB´s. That would be a shame if you missed that.

Yeah - I started playing (free) live poker - pub circuits - where basically you bought drinks to get more chips lol.. Then I moved to play money on FTP - then freerolls - then NDBs - but for about 18mths now - if I need $ I'll deposit - I seriously cannot be fucked with freerolls - OK - v occasionally I'll play one because Im bored + busto - but I certainly aren't trying to make a roll from them.. And whilst they're a great way to learn the game without losing your money - once you think you 'got game' then I dont see how any adult can really say they can't afford a small deposit.

Hey Crazy, good decision, wish u all the luck , don't think u'll get rid of donk calls and moves intirely though. U'll find that sometimes players with big bankrolls play smaller buy-inn and rebuy tournements and treat them like freerolls. Don't let them discourage u and try to make use of there stupidaty . Good luck

hey crazy horse, i'm thinking of graduating from these freerolls too...even though i know, i still have a lot of things to learn about this game, i think i should test the waters now on some tournaments with a few dollar buy-ins...
i figure, if i'm going to spend hours and energy trying to keep focus on a tournament, might as well play for a bigger prize and experience a lot more serious tournament play.win or lose, i think it's going to be beneficial for my game in the end..
anyway, i hope you do well buddy and keep us updated on what's going on
