I just had an epiphany....What do you guys think about a sub-forum for just bad beat stories? Then we all have a place to go b**ch,whine, and moan, that way we on't have constant threads in the "poker" & "poker strategy" forum's about the bad beats. Thought this might be a good idea, especially during these freerollpromotions as there are sure to be alot of sick and disgusting beats. What o you think mobster's?

What a thought! Think it would be good. At least there'd be a designated area for the b**thing, moaning and complaining. Wonder waht the Administrator's thoughts are! Good Luck on implementation!

I think most of us are guilty of blowing a little steam now and again, and it always seems to ruffle somone's feather's who doesn't want to hear about it. I just thought a specific sub-forum for those nasty little stories,that we all hate to admit that we love to tell, and often times read with secret sinfull delight, might be in order. So hopefully we can all be happy with a place to go rant for those of us that do, and a place to stay out of for those of us who don't want t hear it. Then if they complain about your complaining, you can just say hey you are in a high whining zone!

Sorry but I have to disagree. Yes there are quite a few bad beat threads but creating a sub forum will encourage more and as I view all my threads on the main page, I see every thread as I'm here everyday, this can only have a negative effect or none at all.
You're assuming that people will even choose to post in it. The rigtards will keep on posting poker is rigged in the other forums as they don't seem to have the concepts bad beat and variance in their vocab. And people who think they have extraordinary hands will post in hand histories.
There could be a bad beats thread like the moaning thread but how many would use it? And actually not all bad beat threads are boring. Some ask sensible questions like did I play this badly or not? and some are well written but many are not interesting at all. You can't tell until you click on them so it would be unfair to group them all.

The thing with BRM - is - if you just use the forum link at the top of the page- you get a page of ALL threads across the various 'sections'.. I think most people don't even browse through the different sections - they just use this 'front page' that displays threads from all topics.. This is evidenced by the fact that when people post in a specific rooms section - people often don't realise which room they are referring to.
So any way - if you have a bad beat section - all the threads will STILL pop up on the front page any way - it won't be segregated at all.

Awood88, a good point and jess I believe ur right I only use the main page myself, but I do at least try to pick the correct sub forum when posting, which would at least let you know what type of thread you're about to read. I myself don't really mind them, thoug there does tend to be some repetiveness. I really never thought about a sub-forum encouraging more though..... I wil need to be doing some more pondering on this subject.
