Depends if u are new to poker in general or new to FTP. If u got the money and the knowledge, why not deposit and try some hands? U can end up winning some just because i know for a fact that a great bunch of people are kinda greenhorns excited after the game they have seen on TV with those phenomenal draws and wonderful play from a Ferguson, Negreanu, Ivey or Laak. On the other hand, if u are a newbie like myself, depositing now would only mean depositing into other player's pockets for sure, so smooth your game on freerolls (and for that i can testify )
it depends on your playing style. if want to play for fun u dont need deposit,or deposit small. 50$ or less. i think 50$ enough to play micro stakes sng and some mtt sattelite or 0.1/0.2 cash game. the best choice i think omaha hi/low micro limit. good to made bankroll.

Well why don´t you use the bonus offer for Fulltilt from BRM ? You can start with this $50 and can see who it works without having any risk. Thats how I did with PartyPoker (but with a bonus from an other site, before I signed up here).

FTP is the best freeroll site on the net. I would have to agree with MIGO on the $50 deposit. FTP has great ring games for 2x points. Early morning and afternoon they have happy hour. When playing for 2x points, they accumulate very quickly...

keeping bank account in positive , huh i take that u mean to have a profit from ur deposit. theres no such amount (except 0 lol ) u just need to be a winning player and have good bankroll management so that you dont bust your bankroll. if u r losing player no matter how much u deposit u'll keep on busting sooner or later. and for adequate bankroll management , amount depends upon which stakes u play, ur playing strategy and kind of games u wanna play. so that amount will depend from person to person

to be honest: the best amount to make a deposit is in my mind somwhere between "possible to stick to solid Bankrollmanagement" and an amount of money you feel save with and it isn´t a desaster if you loose it. So that is quite individual.

WHat limit do you play? Cash games? MTTs ? SnGs? For cash games x25 buy in to your limit For MTT I think you need larger bankroll so it is about 50 and Sngs x25~ Good Luck
