Just want to let you know I played terrible and did not abide by the methods you documented in a thread quite some time ago. I have been patient, registering late when possible and holding out for the good hand (AA, KK, QQ, AK, etc). and that's how I (a beginner) was building a bankroll. Well today I broke all those rules/practices and paid. Lost 70% of my roll which isn't a lot, but from nothing to $158 is good for me. I had to confess or whine a little just to let you know whether you needed to or not. I'm now going back to the beginning. Thanks to all the Mobsters advice though. Bits and pieces built what I had. 1st rule of poker, you have to set rules for yourself. I don't know what threads you read, but I am sure the knowledge you recieved was beneficial to your game. We all go through this, sometimes several times. You have obviously learned a valuable lesson today. I read this in your thread here (between the lines). Wish you lots of luck in the future. Remember, "patience" is rule 1 on your list in poker.

Thanks BMW, I just can't believe how reckless I played especially letting frustration get the best of me. I guess 3 days off work and to much poker. Thanks for the feedback it makes me feel a little better and I'll take your advice. I remember checking your profile. You've been playing for many years from a small agriculture community. Thanks Green. I live in the big city now though. Metropolis of over 4 million. Lol. See you Sunday. And remember, we are all here to support you. Everyone is here for the great advice, knoledge, and experience of the players. I also suffer from the same things in poker you do. We all go through it. My bad experiences this past year at FTP are really nerve racking. Many people have said that I am a very good poker coach. But I have a very hard time taking my own advice.

Yeah Green, its just a (poker)fase your going trough. Like all starting players(poker and other sports/games) your road to the top is a bumpy one, with ups and downs. Take a step back, refocus and start again. Gl with that

For some reason I believe that! I mean taking your own advice. I know I'm not to good, but I have done considerably since joining BRM and reading info from you Mobsters and throughout the site. Yeah, Sunday I'll probably be a donator, but It's great you took the time to establish a game like tha. Making it affordable is what's so cool about it. GL to ya!
Damn, I did finally make final Table in $1+.10 SnG (45 player) to finish 3rd. A little sympathy from the Poker Gods.

you can be pro in poker,but when donk pay on your AA with his 6 7,just beacuse idiot can and then hit 2 pairs on table,you cant do nothing,there is no advice for this kind of situations!so its not everything in your play,lots of this things are in other players!

For sure yo cannot do something against this (happened to me yesterday, I lost KQ against a donk whos pushed nearly everything all in. He was in the hand with 34 and won with a pair of 3). The big problem is not to Tilt on these situations and play further on good poker.

Part of the learning process, I guess. I was pretty surprised to read that you went from nothing to $158. That´s pretty good!
Also wondering what happened yesterday. You were playing such careful limit SnG´s I had the impression? Did you play cash, Rush, a huge buy-in tourney?

First time I ever tried in $24 +$2 NLH SnG (45 Player) after 4 loses I gave up. Only reason I tried in the $24 is been doing pretty good ever since shoveandtilt referenced me to SnG's. Then you know! I lose, try again, lose, try again and again thinking gonna place in one. So that's my story. What took me 5 months to build, almost gone. Been waiting for this time off work to play all week. No bull I've stuck to a lot of the reference info you posted during your climb on the leaderboard. So $96+ down in one day. Reckless/frustration got me after 2nd loss. Back to the basics now. Dont be sad Green, that happens to everyone. My first deposit was on Poker Stars. I started to play DONs and after 15 days of playing 3 and 5$ DONs I managed to built 100$ bankroll. But then I sad to myself: "man, Im good at this, I should play for 10$". I lost first one with bad beat, second one with bad beat, then, tilted, registered in 20$ don and...3 hours later I was making new deposit... Then I deposited on full tillt, build my roll to 150 playing multitable SNG and then I decided to play one 10$ HU, I lost from guy that was maniac and unbelievable lucky, I accepted rematch (tilted) and another one, and another one, and I was left with nothing... BUT, I have learned from that... you are smart guy, you will learn from it also...

Im going through somthing like that now,seems like it dont matter what i get my chips in with someone always one ups me or draws exactly what they need and its frustrating. I know its just a phase and that in time it to shall pass but can only hope my stax can endure the pounding.Hold your head high and be patient it will come
