`I am out of my depth here, and would appreciate any help whatsoever. In regard to making deposits wo Visa or MC, I have been told of ancillary means by which one could purchase a gift card at the corner store and then by using this 'service' have the funds transferred into an account at a gaming site. First, is there any truth to this and if so how?

But got no idea how to withdraw winnings though. hope this helps

First what site are you trying to deposit to. I had the same problems fulltilt using any cards. My card had a direct deposit option...even though i probably wasnt supposed to, i used the direct deposit info ie routing number and account number to do "quick deposit" and it worked like a charm

Worthy assists all, kind folk, though I believe I've screwed the proverbial pooch on this one. I just bought a random gift-card, hoping for the best, but unless I can find another means, I'll see ya'll tomorrow. Thank you

They passed a law here in America. Haven't been able to deposit from visa or mastercard in awhile. The prepaid cards don't work either to my knowledge.

Visa Re-loadable Ice is the only one I know of that will work right now, however I'm trying to find a site that will accept every day gift cards, and fund your site from theirs. I've heard of this, but as of yet I can't substantiate it.

If Instadebit works in the States, go that route. There are no fees and it just links to your bank account and let's you store funds (kind of like paypal).
What about Moneybookers or Netteller? Or are those not allowed in the States?
