U.S. Law <Sadface>  0
I know its been a while since the act was created, but seeing as i wasn't playing poker for cash at the time (or rather couldn't age wise). I understand it helps the RL (real life) casinos so they do not go bankrupt. I just don't understand why wouldn't that be the case in other countries as well, surely they would all have the same problems as we would, why aren't they worried about it?

Our Government is worried about how they can tax us. Ya the casinos are fighting it also but the main reason is they want their grubby greedy hands on the cash Aww crap! . Once they all agree on how to track and tax us it will be legal Worship

I dont understand it ... do they think people will visit the live casinos more often if the online is is made forbidden ??? That would be like thinking that people will visit footballmatches live more if they dont send football on TV Shock

Like any Law there's gray areas some states have out right banned online poker. Where others are looking at it as a income (taxes) and are moving ahead regardless of Federal law. Try looking in to PPA "poker players alliance" it's the best place to keep up dated on where the law stands and where it's headed

i live in ohio and the state is talking about letting us play online poker so the state can get the tax money when we would cash out ..but DC will try to stop ohio ..and that would not be a smart thing for DC to do people in ohio are really pissed off at DC and that might just be enough of a push for the people in ohio to vote out of amercia and become there own country Worship
