just watching TV an i found out this about roberto romanello Full Tilt Poker.net’s Roberto Romanello won the 2011 WPT Bratislava Main Event, capturing a first prize of just over $140,000. Romanello defeated Columbian Mayu Roca after a two-hour heads-up battle, adding a WPT crown to his growing list of major titles. He secured an EPT Main Event victory in December 2010 in Prague, and will go to Las Vegas this summer with the opportunity of becoming the third ever holder of poker’s Triple Crown, an honor awarded to players who have won a World Series bracelet and a WPT and EPT title.
Taking place from March 30th to April 3rd in the Golden Vegas casino, the $2,500 buy-in event attracted a total of 211 players. When the nine remaining players took their seats on the final day, Romanello held a commanding chip-lead, with more than 20% of the total chips in play. The Welshman won the tournament when his 5-5 held up against Roca’s A-K after both players’ chips were committed pre-flop and the board ran out J-6-8-3-Q.
Romanello’s win takes his career tournament earnings beyond the $1.9 million mark.
