Was really bored and logged into FTP, realised that I have so many damn FTP points I decided to play 2 sit n go satelites for 20,000 points.
1st on the list was the main event satelite which cost me 16500, poker gods must be shining on me today because I took 1st place and a seat in the 2.5MIL main event!
In 3 minutes time I will play the satelite for event 44(750K KO tourney) which i qualified as well using 2200 points..wish me luck and I will update u guys!
This FTOP main event will be the biggest I ever played with such a small field(at the moment)....

guys, sorry to let all of you down especially the regulars who have guided my tournament play so much....I busted out JJ versus KK when blinds were getting ridiculously big.
Well, I was happy with the way i played but not with the results as I was one of the few players who survived that long with a single entry(mosf of them had multiple entries)...not really bitching but FTP's multiple entry rule really sucks...I mean it wouldn;t suck if I could buy in 6 times like most of them did...then when players started reducing....the merge rule really killed me. I am gonna do this again, already spoke to a few backers and they say they would all come out with 1 buy in each and I buy in 4 times....let's see how it goes from there.
But overall, it was a great experience, no donk fest for sure and it will just keep pushing me...and thanks again everyone, u guys are the best!

Nice thread, and nice first performance. I also you did really good on the main event considering you only had one buy in. After a day of playing you won experience which is good. The truth is that you also need a ton of luck on all this huge tournaments like FTOP or Sunday Millions or SCOOP on Pokerstars and of course,and if you play on full tilt poker several entries. Couple of days ago i saw XWINK online at full tilt poker at the 50/100 $ pot limit omaha tables and i hit search to see where he also plays. He was registerd to a miniftop, i can't remember the number but i was surprised to see he had around five or even more entries. If you really know to play tournaments this option is really good because you can always get busted on a bad beat although you player perfectly the hand. So it's good to have another chance at the tournament.

Still, well done Yumi ! Just taking part in this HUGE event is something special. Lasting through a big part of it is even better.
I agree with you completely on the Multiple buy-ins. Sucks big time!
I really think they should not apply this to the major tournaments. It´s too big a difference for the players flush with cash and who don´t give a S***. Leaving the rest of us at a HUGE disadvantage. Full Tilt´s greed is really showing there....

You did fine. Going all-in with JJ its not bad played, so i guess you did your best, and you probably got further than many of us would go if we were in your place. We wish we were, with so many FTP points you should play a lot! And well too, i bet! Good luck next time!
And yes just in case you guys were wondering, XWINK played as well and of course he had 6 buy-ins. And i must agree, FTP's greed is indeed ruining the spirit of tournaments....if you guys think about it seriously, technically speaking there are no more "freeze outs" left on FTP.
And I believe most of you are not fully aware of another thing, this multiple buy in rule subsequently merges your stacks when the number of player shrinks.....so even in early stages you see people shoving all in with AT,A9,etc...which realy disappoints me a great deal. These are not donks but pros and they are just basically making full use of the edge they have with multiple buy ins.
Now i just pray Pokerstars do not follow suit and introduce this stupid rule, I am fine with rebuys and add ons...but a 6 x buy-in tourney is just out of line.
Til next time.....next sunday I am gonna play the double deuce and that is it. And who knows....I smell 4-5 buy ins coming up...LOL.

talking about thos multiple entry tournaments? I really hate them cause just as you say, they are really ruining the spirit of freezeout tournaments. When I play a tournament I wanna know I bust when have no chips. Otherwise I play rebuy tournaments. But thos multiple entry is just really b******t.
In my eyes this is only a poor try to schedule highy guarenteed pools for tournaments without having any overlays.

I normally avoid rebuy tournaments as I find that it leads to too much bingopoker, and unless you play the same way you are at a disadvantage. Some will create monster stacks out of getting lucky, and then they can push you around. I prefer single buy-in, and then idiot players get busted out early and real poker begins.
