In March, the PokerStars' Sunday Million 5th Anniversary -tournament was the biggest tournament in the history of online poker.
A total of 59,128 players registered for the tournament and the prize pool was 11,825,600$. Nine finalists decided to make a deal and the final table payouts ended up looking like this:
Sunday Million 5th Anniversary Results for 03/06/11*:
After the final table a scandal emerged, as it was revealed that "zeurrr" from Holland was playing under-aged.
Now PokerStars has decided to seize all monies held in the "zeurrr" account, and the funds ($518,402.33) from the account will be donated to charitable organisations, which specialize in preventing underage gaming.
I really think that kid need assistance asap, even for a grown up men something way les important could mean a lot for him but just for a kid to find out that his account was suspended, momney forfeited it's just terrible. Of course this is no excuse, i just want to say he really needs some help.

Not a bad decision to donate the money (no way in hell should let that kid get the money) but i believe they could have made a better choice regarding the organization. With so many kids and babies with health issues they could do better than that.

If you are dumb enough to play such a big tournament and think you will be ble to cash out without providing ID you dont deserve half a million dollars. Laws and rules are to be followed how fucking hard can it be ?
Hope the guy learnt his lesson to follow the game rules, i see daily kids who have problems following law and order and it pisses me off.

Its a good decision donating the money to those particular charities. I do feel a little for the guy though, winning that much, shooting your mouth off, than have it taken away. But still PS is ofcourse right and it was stupidity from his part playing in the first place. Even more stupid spreading the news after the fact

First of all, I watched final table action. That kid dont have the clue how to play! He didnt deserved that money because of that. Second, he tried to blackmail other players when was deal discussion. Third, obviously boy is stupid. I think this is best solution. Only I dont believe that money will go to right hands...

Hi YUMI.
All I can say that this kid must be a "DONK". Imagine winning your bisggest tourney ever and find out you cannot have the prize? And his dad must be mad, why not say it ws his account and claim the money or something like that. I expect we will he of this lad again and he will probably win big again one day, you cannot place this high in a tourney of this kind without having some skill.......
@Marc - they tried to tell just what you said, that it's his dad account and some stuff like that, but it was to late. PokerStars already knew everything about this kid, so there was no way that he or his dad would get their hands on this money
I think everyone played underage, there's no need to lie about that IMO, even spacegravy wrote about it on his blog (I think it was Physioc, but I'm not sure), but who plays such a big tournament? That was really stupid and I think he learned a lesson

think boy should have known better. playing for a game which he was not eligible for and winning so much would not have got unnoticed. maybe he should have settled for a low cash and busted himself out earlier. hope the money is put to good use
A quick question guys lets say he didn't brag about it and no one knew about his winnings or his age at PK.
Being underage can't he just play with the cash and not withdraw anything just keep the cash in his PK account playing continuing playing poker and when he reaches the legal age then submit his id and withdraw his winnings?
not being funny but how the heck is... specialize in preventing underage gaming a charity, if they dont look over the age of the legal age ask id, in person if on the net most sites should use there own money to prevent this not use a so called charity, come on guys this is so stupid imo.......................
i mean there worthy better charitys thatn that out there in the world which really need the money, like chrildren in need, africa, cancer hiv reseach.......
anythink but this bs, maybe the parents should get a kick up the back side for allowing there kids to turn a blind eye or for letting them use there credit cards on line or allowing them to gamble........
