I know what you mean. It is supposed to rain here for the next five straight days, and lots of people were only starting to get back into their flooded houses. Local lakes and rivers here (I am an hour outside Montreal) are swollen to their highest points I have ever seen. The US is not doing any better. Crazy stuff.
