"A total of nine players signed up for the SCOOP #35-High, $25,500 heads-up NLHE Event, and it was eventually Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier who took down the title and $112,500.
In the heads-up play "ElkY" outlasted Jonathan "Iftarii" Jaffe, who banked $62,500 for his runner-up finish.
This was the first SCOOP title for "ElkY", but the French Team PokerStars Pro has captured at least two WCOOP titles before this win.
Grospellier has earned a little over $7,6M from live tournaments, the latest big cashes coming from EPT Madrid High Roller tournaments.
As I am writing this, the SCOOP Main Events are running. The High version ($10,300 buy-in), for example, ended up with a total prize pool of $3.8 million and the winner will walk away with $735,300." It really seems ElkY is unstoppable, and this has been a really great year for him. I'm not his fan at all, not for the way he looks, i don't like him overall. I bet that Viktor Blom would have won the competition if he had more heads up games lately.

nice win for him, he just keeps on putting good results this year. but surprised to see only 9 players sign up for this tournament, where did all the pokerstars pro go??, maybe less people because of black friday.

On the contrary SuperNoob, after the black friday most of the top players should participate more on live events like this event, but it seems the interest was not too high. But again this is a no limit holdem heads up event, so it's not really your usual tournament where you are against another nine or six players at the table. Still, i would really have expected for United States players like Scott UrNot InDanger2 Palmer, tom dwan durrrrr or eve Daniel jungleman12 cates to join the action and see where they are right now. On my mind Viktor Blom is one of the best heads up no limit holdem in the world along with the ones i posted above but it seems the lack of play currently made him take one of the last places in this event. Lets hope there will be other events like this one in the furure!
