As i posted earlier, i recently won $400 in different MTTs on PS.
Well, since i won, i decided to hit the cash games. I've been playing PLO, and really won quite a bit. So many fishes on the lower levels, felt like i was Gus Hansen lol.
So i decided to move up in limit, even though i weren't bankrolled for it. Moved to $0.05/$0.10 and was still beating everyone. So i took a go at the deepstack tables, were i bought in for $25.
I was still having an edge over my oppenents, and winning most days. But because i didn't pay more attention to BRM, it had to go wrong. I knew i was playing over my limit, yet i still kept on doing it because i knew i would win in the long run. But that doesn't really help you when you hit a major downswing, and you go broke. well, ofc, that happend and now i'm down to only $50 profit, from the $400.
I've decided to withdraw my last $50 + my initial deposit which was $150.
on the cash tables, I earned quite a lot of FPP, which i've spend on the 200 hyper turbo six max sat to sunday storm. So now i have around $50 tournament dollars, which i'll use for $1 MTT's, and ONLY $1MTT's, since that's were i'm best.
Writing this to get it our of my system and to let you guys have a laugh at how stupid i was
Lesson learned: don't play over your limits even though you're beating the limit badly.
feels so silly to die to a 15 buy in downswing, when you know that you should have 50 buy ins for PLO...

That sucks Netsmasher, sorry to hear that. It's enraging to make so much progress and then to be set back to where you were.
Thanks for sharing this story with us. It's always nice to be reminded what will happen if you go outside proper Bank Roll Management. I'll try remember your story the next time I'm feeling a little too eager.
