you will need to give more info like full ring short handed, tourney or cash game and it also depends on your style of play and what the other players are like to

but it is too dangerous? [/QUOTE]
In my (limited) experience most of the time you will win the blinds until someone catches on. Even if you are called by high cards such as AT+ you are about 54% favourite.

there is obviously a whole range of factors to take into consideration. But ultimately - if deep-stacked, then set-mine where appropriate implied odds are laid out and if you're short stacked, either shove or fold.
I'll min raise them to see a flop. The thought here is to see the flop as cheaply as possible. If the flop is ugly and or I get bet into hard then I will have lost the minimum and get out of the hand. Even if I hit a set I have to be very carefull the board does not str8 or flush out on me. Have to take what I get with a marginal hand.

In an mtt limping pre flop if the blinds are small is worth it ( set mining as people have already mentioned ) because when you do hit your hand you are hoping to get a huge amount of value in a big pot. later on in mtt's they are good to steal with from LATE position and generally quite easy to fold in early/mid. Good for resteals too if you think somebody is reraising light...but have a decent read before you whomp em in

Guys above are right, it really depends on what you are playing, cash games are different than tournaments and sit and gos, plus there are certain periods of the game, so a small pocet pair is played differently
Now, to be more precise always a small pair, i consider a 99 pair small too for instance, you need to limp if no one raised before you. If someone raised before you, you need to apply call 20 rule, i'm sur you know about i'm talking
Finally if someone in front of you raises and someone else reraises him, you obviously need to fold since they are representing much more stronger hands than your small pocket pair. This is the winning strategy in time on how to play small pocket pairs, and always remember, your goal with pocket pairs is to make a set on the flop, if you didn't get it don't call a bet, especially if there are overcards or straight or flush draws on the flop

there is no garanty to play writ any hand - exampel y have aa at finaltable 5players befor you go allin there may be a fold the best you can do - every hand depends on 1.) how big is your stack 2.) how much money you have on your account ( brm-bankrollmanagement is importend ) 3.) do you know something about the other players ( in every room you can make notiz at players and give them difficult singhts... this is very good) 4.) how are the staks from the others players behind you...
for me importend is . in every room you have in mtt setting you are very lucky so when you see it is in a good setting play many cheap hands like suited cards / connectors / and pairs - make min. raise with 2,3 -2,5 bb and than see the aktion at flop and river in times you had bad swings be carefull to run allin

its hard to say what to do with this hand because it depends a lot on other factors like stack, tournament stage and opponents. but dont try to go bananas with this hand, its just a mid pair
