Don't Close Software  0
I was play a 1500 dollar givaway at will hill and made 3 rd hour when i pick up qq I press all in to a raise and get 3 callers now I think I lost (well i did lose) but not to the big stack (I am guessing that was what happend) being annoyed at how I had lost and was close to bubble anyway i closed down the software and had a coffee.
To my surprise when I opened up the software again I was taken to final table (I can only think I lost to the small stack but beat the large stack) Any I played on made the last 4 and got a decent pay out.

Thouth I would share this with you guys on thinking about it I am probably not the only one this has happened to but it does show you need to watch until you really sure of whats happened.

haha that is pretty funny. I've never closed the software before; however, sometimes when I've been multitabling and for example somebody with <1bb is allin by default and I end up allin against another big stack, when I am watching 6-tables if the person with ~1bb wins I just see an allin beat me and assume I've lost my stack, always a nice surprise when 90%+ of the pot ships my way !!

Funny you never know either in your situation whether you would have done better or worse if you kept the software open !

Yes it is true I could of done worse but one other thing you might like to consider when multi table playing you call a bet (this has happened to me more than once) but as you call the bet another table takes the focus and you call a bet you don't want to, watch this on it could be an all in. And be even more careful when your playing torny play and cash. I expect like me you play different and I have gone all in on cash where I would not dream of before making that error.
Just a few thoughts that I expect you all watch for or have experianced

when am playing i always look for the pop up message where it says your out of the tourney placed and your winnings before closing the software,
so this has never happend to me,

The most looked alike that ever happened to me was when i was playing a freeroll and at to go to work, so i let the PC on with the game running in a minimized window and when i came back at night the window had a small box with the message : "Congratulations, you finished 6th and won $0,12!". I wasnt counting on that and it really surprized me. Now, about closing windows just because i would thought i would have lost, i never do it. Sometimes we only have to receive a call to know that, when we think we are robbing in the best way, but some guy decides to push us... but even at that time, i never close the game before seeing what happened: that's the thrill of the game!!! Its like: still today i think about the other guys table, those who were playing high stakes for a whole lot of a pot and flop shows flush draw to one and that guy accepted an agreement, just because the guy who is was playing against with, has bigger fame! I couldnt live with that!!!

Congratulations Toxic,

That's never happened to me, I usually wait to see what happens, although sometimes I do get annoyed with a losing hand and close it early. But then I'm always paranoid that maybe I caught that runner runner and go back and check. Must've been a nice surprise and pay out.

Enjoy it.

A) but as you call the bet another table takes the focus and you call a bet you don't want to, watch this on it could be an all in.
B) I expect like me you play different and I have gone all in on cash where I would not dream of before making that error.

A) I generally play on PKR - the multi-table doesn't work like that and you can't really do this...Also, when I used to play on other software, that used to happen to me a bit, so now if I play on software like that, I always switch off the 'bring to front' window feature. Drives me up the wall otherwise.
B) Yes, sometimes this happens - although, tbh it is not normally so much as when I am playing cash/tourney at same time; it's more after playing nothing but tourneys for days on end and then switching to cash - that I don't slow down enough and yes start making terrible allin-calls/shoves that I would normally never dream of in cash (basically, making tourney plays on a cash table).

Hehe. The tOxIcFiSh way of reaching a final table: going on sit out. Blink
4th place is def better than a bust out at the bubble.

I won over $400 at WH playing casino games, and around $300 at the felt, as I made my account via a affliate they refused to hand over $300 of my winnings saying I can only withdraw up to $100 in casino bets..(Had a friend set up an account and got my wonga, only cost a few beers)
I like the site and would still be playing there if it was not for this.
Congrats on your win.. Worship

Looool, this is a funny post, lots of good stories. I have two:

1: I was playing on a casino ob horse bet with 2 other drunk friends. We were all playing in the same table, sharing our investment and profit, so we were a little bit tight. We made our bets and watch the race, a very bad horse came in first or second and we were supposed to loose all bets, as well as everyone around, but our table start to blink the red light and we won a very good amount of money. We didn't understand what happened until the guy that was in right remembered that after we made our bets he rested his elbow on the bet table .... on top of the 5-6 button betting the maximum allowed. This was 20 years ago but is still remembered when we get together.

2:In a freeroll online, I was registered but when the tournament was about to start my wife said that we were going out for lunch. I got a 5 6 in the first hand, made all in and left. When I returned I had won around 3$ in the first 40 players. After some investigation, 7 guys called my first hand all in and I won with 3 sixes, sitting out until the end of the tournament

after reading all the storeys above me i thought il give mine,
it was about ten years ago or more on paddy power ipoker net when i first started
i enterd a freeroll called morning freeroll ?? somethink like that anyway,
but it started about 7.00am in the morning was b4 i had kids so it was too early for me to play it,
i enterd it the night before,
when i woke up about 1.00pm i checked my account and there was a extra $8.00 odd in it
so i checked my account histroy and i won the freeroll by not playing a single hand sitting out
hahahaha i thought this was very strange that i beat 70 odd players sitting out Smile
they must of forgot about it too,
but the tourney must of gone ahead even thou every1 sitting out,
true storey may i tell you ,

also when i first playing poker there i had aces 3 to 4 times and never won with them,
at that time i could never understand why i kept losing with them ,
when i though they were the best hand in poker
remember like it was yesterday i hate aces back then could never win with them,
silly me aces are the best starting hand and thats all,
alot has change since then,
but i giggle to myself how i thought about poker and played poker back then Smile
