Dozn01 doing what hes knows best !!!  0
well here i am playing my A game on omaha high and low ,
steadly building my roll up using bankroll management,
and to be really honest its very hard work, and it takes a long time,
being very discipline in what i do,
i can say i am a winning player at poker at the moment and very consistent ,
not many players can say that, Blink
dont get me wrong ive lost a couple buyins in a session im not perfect,
but i have a break for a hour watch a movie to clear my mind,
then go back grinding win 3 to 5 buyins back , then go play the smaller tables or play a small mtt,
cause i really need to work on my game in no limit mtts,
(reason i play the smaller stakes is so i dont eat in to my profit for the day, and to work on my game)
i do this every day now and its working for me at this moment,
i have a different out look on poker now, i have cut out a lot of bad habits, which i use to do,
(playing drunk, go on tables with all my money, taking a quick shot at the big (time) tables,
i feel alot better with my game and myself for doing all this,
and its really paying off,
i hope mobsters here could take this advise but for me i couldnt when someone told me this,
(even my self) always went to my old ways,
i had to learn the hard way for the past 10 years, and some think had to change, and it did!!!
now i have found a winning formula for me to win reglaur at poker,
and am gonna stick to it now, i wish all mobsters good luck at the tables,
and below is one hand from my session which i picked out,
this guy tryed to take me off the pot on the turn with a reraise to my $5 bet,
silly player dosnt know who i am , KING of omaha high and low Big Smile
(had the nut low on the turn anyway was never folding)

good onya man, poker is a tough gig sometimetimes.go a mate who just doesnt get it,plays everyhand, etc etc,get the shits cuz he get bad beats, but he playing hands like k6 suited.alaways hits 2 pair, then cracks it when he lose to a hand thats better, but i had two pair, yeah junk 2 pair,he will never change, good for you that you realised, bankroll management is hard to learn but when you do it makes the game so much better,im crap at hi/lo omaha tho,so i dont play it. Big Smile

   0
how do you play hi/lo im just lookin for some advice because sometimes the plo8 games are horrible
do you set/flush mine and just try to see a lot of cheap flops? thats how i play lol
dont use that against me if you see me at a table though lmao
also some advice on no limit MTTs is bet what you have in the micros, NEVER bluff cuz youll get idiots who call with bottom pair and you should be +EV as long as you do that lol

So far i've never tried PLO 8 on play money or real money, but i do usually play pot limit omaha on real money, but by the looks of it seems PLO 8 it's a lot more complex game than omaha hi Confused

Still, since we are talking about omaha, you said you respect a good bankroll management, so my question is how many buy ins do you have for a limit, i know many say you need at least 50 buy ins but frankly i think 25 are enough.

Well at least it was enough for me on full tilt poker to grow from PLO 5 to PLO 10, although i had a bad downswing in a time, 25 bi were more than enough. What do you think Question

   +2
@jibbberish and macubaas,
i play 1c/2c, 2c/5c, 5c/10c, 10c/25c, 50c/$1,omaha h/l games
and if i had a very good day at the level which my level allows me to play ,
which is mainly 25c/50c and win 3 to 5 buying,
i might try the $1/$2 games with $100 sat a the table,
but i have only tryed this once i knew it was a risk but if i lost it,
i still would of made a profit for the day,
but for every level there is, there are different tactics and playing styles
i would say 50 buying to be completly safe but yes 25 or even 20 buyin is ok,
all depents on how good of a player you are,
and can recognize how the hand is gonna pan out,
you are thinking all the time, selecting hands to play,
always puting your opponent on a hand,
its really hard for me to explain omaha high and low,
there is loads of different situation,
but one tip in omaha is never bluff ever!!!
cause they always have it,
if you have the nuts or a very good drawing hand for the high and low always bet
there is no slow play in this game,
if your agressive at no limit holdem, this game is for you,
and that why the pots are massive at times,
even thou you get a people who dont understand omaha h/l,
always say i hate that game ,
cause you have to share the pot, thinking its not profitable,
well there wrong trust me Smile

another tip the more people in the pot,
the high the odds the player has the same drawing hand as you,
say you have ace 2 xx, get 4 callers and the flop comes 3 6 8 rainbow,
you lead out cause you have the nut low hand bet the pot, all the other players call,
you have to be aware that they have the same low hand as you,
and this leads to it being a split pot for the low 4 ways which is not profitable,
also the rake is a killer, if you dont win at least 1 pot to your self,
and the only way to win is to get the high hand,
if a player raise the pot and you have no chance of getting the high hand,
be willing to fold the nut low.............
yes might sound silly but i have done this before and all the other players have had ace 2,
and lost money you have to be very aware in the betting patterns,
i hope you understand what im trying to say ,like i said it hard to explain omaha h/l
try to get heads up at the river too
good luck in your game

Wow, that is such a huge pot. Congratulations there. How did it get that high on a 0.25./0.50 table, yikes.

Glad to hear you've found your dedication. A lot of the trip ups you mentioned I still do on occasion and I guess I haven't learned enough. Glad to hear you've found the perfect blend of art and skill to keep that bankroll growing.

Good luck.

nice to know you are doing well at plo l/h and hope you maintain your discipline in future.
not a big fan of hi/lo but agree with u on the advice, many times i have seen people lose money because they cudna fold their low hand.

LOL, I stumbled across it a while back from railing photolong, I check in on a few of bankrollmob users from time to time, there are some really good players here, but some/most of the big players don't post.
Thumbs Up for the long post I partially read, can see it helping some users here.

Just wanted to say I also found this post to be very useful to me yesterday. After reading this post I went on to play for the day. 0.05.0.10 NL cash game 10 seaters. I was playing 4 tables and in about 2 hours I had 5 bad beats that cost me $27 bucks. Needless to say, I was frustrated. But I took a 2 hour break and then ended up finishing the day up $5. Thanks.

i really hope that il be playing that high in the future Smile
at the moment am running very well my mtt are inproving had some good cashers latley,
my cash game is hot too thats my bread and butter,
in the coming weeks i hope to play the $1/$2 omaha h/l cash tables, buyin at max on table
i like to play at a level where i have at least 30 to 40 buying for the level am playing at,
gives me security,
yes this is high but it makes me play my A game having good bankroll management,

i dont know if i want to cash out some of my winnings have some think to show for my effort
in the last 3 weeks at stars, and still have a good roll to play the 5c/10c, 10c/25 ,25c/50,
or try and move up another level,
cause clearly i can beat these levels with ease,
cash out still play these levels but will take me longer to move up,
but il have some money in the bank, or just see how high i can go,
and thats my problem at the moment,

any winning player here at bankrollmob who can give me some advise on this please Smile
