I played today more or less no stop today 12 hours and yes i got a head ache but i won a bit and well chuffed with the way its going in generall. I just wish I could sleep, it seems to make my head buzz I dont know if you guys get the same problem and it stops me sleeping big time.
I also noticed i tend to play better when i force myself to play lower than I want 3 or 4 times i wanted to goto the 50 pound table and most of the time i stopped myself but i did have one dabble and got lucky walked away with 134 pound from a 50 pound buy in but in a way I am annoyed I even went to it.
I know that If i am to make this work i have to keep to my guns on the stakes i play.

cheeech 12 hours is a huge grind .. did u take some breaks in this time or did u play straight just leaving the seat for toilet and food ? i cant even play 2hours because after some time i feel loosing my concentration and that makin me do bad decision and lead me to TILT

I definately find it really hard to fall asleep after playing poker, especially if it was a really bad/losing/tilty day. Also find it hard if it was a good winning day too. I find it's best to stop playing at least an hour or two prior to going to bed, just to have time for the "rush" to fade. During that time, workout, have a shower, read a book or whatever. Just make sure it's non-poker related.
Only play big MTT tournaments when you're really in the mood to play a lot of poker. Cause if you wanna win you're gonna need patience. A lot of patience. If you can't stop playing when you're winning or losing, then I suggest you move to small stakes cash gamesm play very tight and leave the table when you double up. It's gonna get you bored pretty fast so you're gonna stop because you want to...

Wow, 12 hours is far to long for me (and I don´t have the time for such long sessions). Normally I play about 3 to 4 hours in the evening, that´s enough for me.

It was an 8 hour session including a break of ~ 2 hours,makes 6 hours in my books. You started @ 3:40am CDT,did a break @ 6:13am CDT to 6:13am CDT and then played another session from 8:22am CDT to 11:36am CDT CDT is BST-6 I believe,but not sure about that. Oh and btw I could care less about you giving me thumps downs

@tOxIcFiSh your possibly finishing your sessions to close to when your about to go to bed, try stopping at lest an hour before so you mind can relax,

thats a long session tox,never played that long before maybe 6 hours max before my eyes turn square or the booze gets me,like others have said switch off an hour or two b4 you hit the sack

Excellent grind tox! Even though I rarely have the time to put in a good grind like that, once in a while the stars align and I can put in a something like six or seven hours in a row. The important thing is to stay fresh and find ways during that grind to keep your focus. Coffee is a big one for me, but also just taking a few minutes every few hours to walk around, shake the bugs out of your head and think about the way the session is going and what needs to be adjusted in order to maintain profitability. N1!

Isildur1 had a similar session this days, with some pauses of course, and the result was pretty much a disaster for him....
I also tried to have a monster session like this last summer but i quickly find out that this kind of sessions are't very profitable after all, i mean i had a 8 hour session on which i only made a 15 or 20 dollars profit and another one of 10 hours were i lost about 8 dollars lol
Now i no longer play this kind of sessions, one or two hours are more than enough

if i would have a good bankroll i think i could play indefinitley but my problem is that when i am playing too much time and i get bad times (no good cards during hours) i get mad and i got to casino HUGE mistake say good bye to the bankroll

How do you know? I think I missed some "episodes", so I´m curious how you find out.
