"A poker site has published a very interesting article earlier today titled "FTP's Financial Relationship with Two Pros". The article reveals, for example, that from June 2009 until April 2011, Phil Ivey borrowed money from Full Tilt Poker at least eighteen times, totaling at least $10,715,000
The site claim to have "access to Ivey's and David Benyamine's account history on Full Tilt's internal systems".
The article goes off to say that Ivey has paid a large sum of the loan back, but still owes $6,215,000 to the site.
The site adds that It is of course possible that Ivey repaid some or all of this debt off of the site, but Tiltware’s reference to a “large sum that he owes the site” and Ivey’s historical pattern of repaying through his account suggest that he did indeed owe the site money as recently as June 1st.
The website also tells that David Benyamine borrowed and owed money to Full Tilt Poker, and some of the money was paid back directly from his salary, which would be about $ 500,000 a year."
Just found this and thought to share. What do you guys think?

Wow if thats true it is truely amazing but I am not sure what it proves, I was unaware it was possible to borrow money from any site in that way. 6 million dollars is a massive amount in anyones book even if your a miilion air and have access to that sort of dosh. But to someone like it me its a dream telephone number but even if it is true it does not prove cheating or colusion in some ways it might prove the opposite But either way I am amazed

Isnt he supposed to be the most profitable player in the world so far? And he was borrowing money? What happened with all his millions? Thats why FT couldnt pay up the small players.Cause they were lending their money to pro's lol

I am curious about that do the professionals (or the higher stakes) get a better rake deal at the level i play normally 20 pound so 10p and 20 p blinds the rake is 5 percent I have played 50 pound table on odd occasions but the rake is still 5 percent.
Is it less when you play say 500 pound table or is there max someone told me at the club i goto that there is a maxium rake of 5 pound so the bigger tables get a better deal from the point of view once the pot is over 100 pound no more rake is taken but I cant find out if thats right.

Thanks in advance tox
all sites have a rake cap, most of them taking max 3$ rake. and dont think signed pros pay any rake.

It's pretty weird to think that the most profitable poker player online and offline need to borrow money from full tilt poker, where he is also an investor by the way...
I think something is wrong in this story but i'm not sure what, but still there might be something true in it
One thing is clear, Phil Ivey is and it will remain osne of the best poker players that ever existed, no matter what his legal matters are

If what they say about Ivey is true then he has won more than 60 mil dollars in his poker career. How come someone with so much money needs a loan from the site i dont get it. Another bright example to the special "treatment" to all those with big pockets

The only thing that is clear to me is that Full Tilt and everyone associated with the site made a HUGE mess of things by using money that didn´t belong to them but to the players themselves. And like ALL companies committing fraud, the "little guy" pays for the lifestyle of the people associated with it and committing fraud.
Yep, I´m still disgusted with a lot of these psuedo"Poker Gods"... What a "legacy" they have created, and fodder for the "rigtards", of course. "Rich is never Rich enough" proven once again.
I wrote this before i read the other replies, but this ,at least in my opinion, is not true cuzz this is Phil Ivey. There are at least 25 people in the world that owe him some large sums ad twice more people he can loan from the same sums... He probably owes FTP some money but the bastards are probably overbloating it cuzz he sued their ass for 150 mill...I think the people who have been broke countless times (Gus Hansen...etc) havent borewed and the best player in the world has...TROL ALERT...

So to get this straight, you are saying that Ivey owes FT money but it might not big such a big amount as they are claiming and they blew the amount cause Ivey sued them for 150mil $? lol Sued them for what? Owing them money ?
