Pokerstars Big Game  0
Hello guys! I guess some of you know what the big game is... But for those who don't, it's a 6 handed high stakes cash game with 200/400$ blinds 100 ante and they play 150 hands per week. Every week, there's a "loose cannon", a player who won his 100,000$ buy-in from a satellite on pokerstars. But here's the thing: He will only go back home with his profit, the original 100,000$ isn't his. So of course, against players that play their own money, even tough most of them are pros, the basic strategy would be to play very agressivly, because you have nothing to lose. Also, at the end of the season, the loose cannon with the most profit will win a NAPT passport worth 50,000$!

Here's the link: http://www.pokerstars.tv/poker-channel-221-the-big-game.html

I hope you guys will enjoy watching this!

P.S. Some loose cannons are so stupid they seem to just wait for aces Aww crap! Big Smile

Yup, the loose cannon from week 1 was pretty good he was bullying the pros Big Smile That's the way to go... With only 150 hands to play, you have to take risks and have a loose image if you want to make big money.

I forgot to mention, pre flop is pot limit and post flop is no limit. It seemed strange at first but I like it actually!

watched it a few times. One bloke was $150k up after 110 hands then folded every hand including AA pre flop only to see Phil Laak hit Quad 6s. Would love 1 shot against the big guys

If I would make it so far in the poker world it would be a dream come true, but I just try my luck at the microstakes right now. I hope one day I will make it to the Top.

I really like the concept actually but i think it's really hard to qualify for this one especially via a satellite tournament...

Frankly i never heard so far about this but i would really like to see one of these matches, but i think many of them will play too tight or too aggressive...

Do you happend to know how much is the entry fee for a sattelite for this challenge and how many players are usually competing??

Nope, I don't know about the satellites but I bet there must be a lot of players in them. Don't know how much they cost either but you could probably find out easily on pokerstars official site. That's probably why some of the "loose cannons" were playing too tight wich isn't a bad strategy in MTT in general. Some people don't know how to adapt their game to a weird situation, they just play by the book every hand untill they lose patience or get sucked out... Making moves and seeing flops is definetly the way to go! If you lose, then you lose 100,000$ that's not really yours Blink
