Problems with the American Justice System, I don't know the exact information, but the site is looking for offshore investors (probably European investors). The four big guns of FTP are looking for solutions (Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Jesus Chris Ferguson and another rather unknown figure). But at the end of next month there is a hearing in the USA that probably will determine the outcome and future of FTP.
We will all have to wait another month. Lots of accounts are frozen and money stuck on this site. (my BR too, it's not that big but still very annoying)
I must agree, for good game selection and good variety of different games at all times of the day or nite PokerStars does it for me. I'm more into tournies and SnG's, also for a chaange I play PLO. There is enough variety of these games to keep my interest up....bankroll too. One more thing if you go to .net you'll play for fun...the resl money is at .com.
Like both posters above me said, if you like a very wide table selection and lots of traffic then Pokerstars.
But I can also recommend the bit more unknown sites like Betfair and Europoker, they tend to have alot of fish around and you can easily go up from 25$ to 140$ in like 30 mins. That's what I did at least(playing PLO10)

The only site than can compete Full Tilt of course is Poker Stars. Only there you can find the variety of games and players. Before the crappy thing though with FT they were too many dedicated players to it, which they had it as number 1 site

888poker! Its excellent for building your bankroll. Lot of players (not like on PS but enough) and cash games are by far easier to beat then on PS. You have video tables (you dont have to have camera turned on) with biggest donks you ever saw playing there (flops seen goes up to 75% with average pot 2$ on 3/6c game!) Also lot of interesting tourneys (lot of guaranteed ones) such as team tourneys (you register in team before tourney start)... Also you get 8 freerolls for first deposit and nice promotions every month.

I can recommend PartyPoker. Enough traffic there, some very interesting tourneys. But on low limit SnGs to much rake. Very fast and easy cashout (to moneybookers).

Pokerstars is a good site to play on because it has got a lot of activity on the site and there is always a tournament to be played. Though I hate with freeze out tournament that the late registration is mostly 1 hour... this is just too much..
Party Poker is also a great site, only they haven't got as much of activity as Pokerstars and the minimum deposit is $25,-. But I think the players are easier and less patient on this site So more fish, donks or whatever you wanna call them
PokerStars was, is and will be the best for a long time. Players are weak, you just need to play your game and you'll win. Yesterday I lost like 6-7BI on PokerStars but played well most of the time, so you need to know that sessions like that happen even if you play your hands well. Be patient and the donks will pay, that's for sure!
