Hey guys,
I freaking love Gutshotpoker atm! After my second place in the bankrollmobtournament (60$), i came in first in a 2$ Freezout tournament on this site. All thanks to the bankrollmob 5$ free cash, i'm able to build up a nice bankroll to start with.
Tournament history
Tournament name Start date Place Tournament buy-in Player buy-in Win iPoints earned
It's sick how this opportunity on the site made my day. I got a BR of about 180$ right now and i'm probably only gonna play Freezout tournament because that's what i prefer the most.
Any hints or tips on how i should make my BR the most efficient? I'm not good at cash games but should i play higher stakes on tournaments or keep grinding the lower level tournaments. I really like them and i'm doing great now but surely i'll get a downswing soon. How should i handle my BR the best? Any thoughts?

Grats to you, seems like you are really doing great on Gutshot. I guess I shall also give it a try. Keep a strict bankrollmanagement, because the variance in playing MTT can be huge. Maybe you won´t cash in 20 to 30 tourneys in a row, so I guess a minimum of 50 BI would be nice to have.

Congrats m8! im also enjoying playing at gutshot but still on a much lower bankroll level than urs lol. if u want my opinion dont go to higher stakes already, at least not "directly". use their steps tourneys to get u some high value tokens. steps 2 and 3 r usually very soft and winning them should be fairly easy with a very small investment. step 5 tokens r already 10+1 tourney tickets and if u play it well, only costed u 15 cents. as far as direct buy, think it would be wiser to keep grinding those $2 freezeouts. GL at the tables!

Well guys,
I think I made a little discovery why I suck at cashgames. I think and presume it's because I always play 6-max cashgametables. I played some 10-handed cashgames last night and today and my results were significantly better.
Maybe it's a bit harsh on myself, but I don't have the experience needed to play 6-max cashgames. You need to be thinking much more "metaleveling" then in 10-handed. Plus, the agressionfactor must be higher there. I truelly think 6-max cashgame players are at a higher pokerskill level. But that's only my thought.
I'm gonna keep playing 1-2-3$ freezouts for sure. It remains my main objective to build up my BR that way. And if I play cashgames I only play .01/.02, 10-handed, 2$ buy in. I always learned that you need at least a back up of 40 BI to get to a higher stage so i'm sticking to that.
