Last Sunday the Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, from UK, took home the World Championship of Online Poker 2nd chance $109 NLHE tournament. Not less than 2,528 players took part in the tournament and for the win Boeree received $40,448.

You can call me an ignorant for asking this, but isnt this a small first prize for a $109 buy-in? We are talking about a 2,500 players field... 100x2500=$250K. So, first prize would usualy be around $100K, or at least $80k, now $40 looks little... This doesnt take any merit out of Liv, that sure had to do a lot of good work to get this first prize.

payout is different from site to site and even in same site some tournaments have more splitting. but this is a big tournament with 2500 players , if 250 are paid u cant expect first place to take 30%

lol everybody know it PS is the home of unbelievable suckouts and i saw it since 4 years. But i get all suckouts with a smile if Liv Boeree take the money
