Bad beat jackpot, what would you have done?  0
I'm pretty sure many people have seen this already.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKLuiYiaRjA

"Online poker player loses Texas Hold'em hand with quad Aces, hitting the highest Bad Beat Jackpot ever at www.AbsolutePoker.com and winning over $160,000 in cash"

My question is:

If you won 160 000$... what would you have done with the money?

cashing out 159 000, deposit 1k on Partypoker and play Fortunewheel with maxbets, omg theres a nice jackpot to hunt for. some 900k $
But first i would withdraw 15€ for beer.

Thread for offtopic i believe

id have to play a heads up game with it and try to double it lol,not really would be fun tho. one thing i dont get about the bad beat tables is, say you hit the royal flush but befor the river comes out everyone folds you dont get to show your cardsso does that mean youdont win any extras from the jackpot

This isnt the biggest jackpot ever hit, there is also a video on youtube where tha jackpot on AP hits at over $861K which is serious life changing money if you ask me. One guy at the table has only $3.15 and when it hits he has like 15K or something lol.

yes but waht happens if you hit the royal flush and eveyone folds do you not get the jackpot
i wouldnt bet all the way throu me just to make sure i showed the hand in case they all folded and i never got it

I dont know about AP but on ultimatebet's bad beat there are certain requirements to win it. Forst off you have to lose with pocket 8's or higher, there has to be at least 4 players in the hand and the person who ends upw inning the hand has to come from behind to win so its not as easy as it sounds. I have won around $900 from the BB at ultimatebet as it pays out to every player on the same stakes it hit's on not just the tabel where it was won.

hello bakara do you know if you get the money still if you have the flush and everyone folds so your hand is not shown or do you lose it

No danny if you have a royal flush and everybody folds to your bet then you wont win the bad beat jackpot as the hand has to go to a showdown were the crads are turned over after betting on the river is completed.

cheers for that bakara so in realty the best thing to do is not bet just call and check to make sure noone folds you might not win as much out the pot but you will win loads on the jackpot, its better than beting and hoping people call then they fold and you lose out thats what i would do anyhow

Yes i think playing on the bad tables is totally different than playing on the normal ones, people tend not to raise as much and if you have hand that is a bad beat possibility then obviously you want people to catch cards and beat you cause then your rich lol so yes i would only bet small or check and hope they hit the card.

danny your question about betting your royal flush and having people not call, if its at the river they will definatly call if they have quad 8's or better so i would bet that thing like i would in any other game,

Personally, I'd give some to my family, keep lots for myself, i.e. in the bank, and perhaps spread 5-10k over some sites and start playing big limit mtts regularly Smile

I'd also buy a new car Smile

If I get this money, i'll make a big party, and remainings i'll stake on 22 red in roulette. And all other times i will regret about wasting this jackpot.

If I won lets say 100k

5,000 goes to charity
10,000 goes into my childs bankaccount
10,000 spread over many poker sites
60,000 into my bankaccount
rest would go to a vacation
