No more online cash tables.  0
After having the worst bad beat week in my online history, losing over 10K to hands like AQ vs. A7, flop comes A Q 2, opponent goes all in, I call, turn 7, river 7, I honestly give up the online cash tables. It has been one after the other. Losing constantly to maniac trash players who get lucky with runner runner hands or miracle 2 outer rivers going all in on flop and turn with absolutely nothing. I can call this hand I gave the example of luck, right?

I´m truly disgusted at this. It got me questioning if my playing style does not work online, because in live games I do make good money, you know? But when it comes to the online world, I honestly don´t believe how I can lose certain hands. I know that as long as there is at least 1 out, there is still a chance to lose, but come on! This crap has been happening all week long, constantly.

So I have decided to NOT play online cash tables anymore. I´ll play some sit n go´s or just plain old tournaments, but cash games, only live.

I am so irritated, you have no idea. Angry

It happens, playing online or live for many hands there will be some bad runs and good runs as well as terrible runs (like you are having right now) sorry to hear that, all you can do is play through it and continue to get your money in good
Dont give up on cash games, they are great

Hey Matt, thanks for the support. I honestly don´t see many calls like those in live games, at least not in the circles that I play in. For now, I have made up my mind that I will not play cash tables online for a long time. Who knows, maybe in the future I can change, but for now this puts my mind at ease regarding online cash game badbeats.

Hey Fodz,

I know what your'e going through! How many Cash tables do you play @ time? and what limit?
what you are going through has nothing to do with your playstyle! unless ure to soft with the bets, witch im guessing ure not...It all comesdown to timing and bad luck! this is a part of poker that WILL pass!!! when i get the neverending bad beats i turn to tournaments my selfe..my bad beat streaks have lasted up to 2-3 months!!!! witch is absolutely normal if you ask any hardcore player..an ide might be to eighter do like me...slow down with the cash play and play tournaments or go down knotch with the limits your playing...even when ive been in a streak of neverending bad beats i allmost allways manage to go + in the end...i play on Pokerstars and ladbrokes... pokerstars for tournaments and laddies for cash...

when u play cash do you play accurding to odds or on feeling?

ciao

For now you can stop playing to let those bad luck pass as all players get 'em, you can just rest for a week or two and when you feel that you're wanting to play online again then don't restrain yourself.

I play mostly on feelings in my live cash games (i know you were asking the Fodz) but its more of an odds game for me online, besides betting patterns

My main game is live, where I play not only with odds but also with body language. Online I would have to say is for fun, to relax, where odds are present, sure, but feeling based on betting patterns etc. All the beats that I considered bad beats this week were exactly like the one I described above, so I know it will pass, not because people will not hit their 2 outs, but because I believe people will not risk so much money on so little odds.

But hey Scal, thanks for the conforting words and support.

Tchau.

ofc odds i the key to the game but the odds only covers a sertain range of the game...the rest is all upp to experience and feeling...putting yourselfe in there situation and then acting odds pre flop yes after no that how i se it...with all idiots out there playing i don trust odds any more^^

Im sorry to hear about your bad luck this week Fodz. You are obviously playing at alot higher limits than I play at. I was thinking that if I started playing higher limits , I would get away from such play. But I can see they will call you even at the higher limits. Maybe I better just stay were I am at. You are obviously a very good player , so dont let it get you down man.

Fodz, sounds hard to lose 10k in one week, but if ure that good, that you can efford losing 10k(!) in one week you should have hear of up and downswings,
i know thats hard, but the badbeats u re talinkg about are happening to all of us.
But i can feel what u mean , u dont get such badbeats often real life.
Good luck rippin those onlinekids ;P

wow fodz you dont sound like a happy chappy right now. As you know and probably would be the first to say we all have a bad run now and again and im sure that sooner rather than later you will come through it but i wouldnt quit playing online cash games if thats what you enjoy doing cause a few ididots got lucky over and over again... dont let them win man. I guaranntee that although it may be at a loss now , they wont hit runner runner or a 2 outer all the time against you and that you will probably take more from them than they will from you... keep ya head up fodz and dont let them win Big Smile Good luck Thumbs Up

Dannyjon that is weird that you say that. I swear it is like that for me when I first try out a site. I really dont think that is the fact , but it sure does seem like that.

ive actually notice that myself too tho not so much with the new users on a site but the person who joins a table usually gets a pretty nice winning hand ive notice quite a few times actaully! look for it and see so i kind of use that as a judge if some 1 new comes to a table and bets high pre flop i usually always fold
