The freeroll strategy of most players is waiting for big hand and goes allin. But not all. There are many players that are sign for tournament and goes allin on the first hand doesn`t matter what they have. If you see at the beginning of freerolls they are too much players, but after 20-30 minutes 50% are gone!

Posted by teamprocase: Just play it like any other MTT, i mean perhaps loosening up or even tightening up dependin on the situation and the players involved...
i know this advice is pretty general but i think it needs to be said
QFT just play your MTT A-game and pray for a whole barrel of luck, thats everything u need !

Just go all-in on the first good hand that you will have and pray for the best, its freerolls anyway so you can try again as much as you like. getting ahead early on is the key to winning. You can't just wait for good hands.

when i play freerolls i play really tight the first hour or so, and hope to survive when i push allin with AA KK QQ... after 1 hour most of the "callwhateverihaveallin'ers" are out and u can play normal

in beginning play only AA KK QQ AKs. stealing blind work only at babble and prize zone. And most important thing: dont risk all your chipes.
I agree totally. I tried playing like that in 3 table SnG, going all in and stealing pots with nothing. Playing every crap hand i get, and i made it to every final table. Havent won single SnG but still proves that you can make some chippies on nothing.

What I do in freerolls is usually go all in a few times than bully the table with my large stack. If I get knocked out early, who cares, was a freeroll.

I don´t see how you can escape the "play tight to survive" strategy during the first stages of the freeroll. Too risky to try anything out unless you have premium hands. Too many win all, lose all kamikazes out there. Your best bet is either join the crazy fishes and try to get lucky, or of course, wait until most of them are gone, having a piece of their stack!

There isnt time to wait premium hands.... Blinds increase so fast, every 4min 20sec.... It cant be called poker all what i need there is luck. And u must be ready to push all in with Ax or Kx and hope the best.... I was just gonna make into final table there, i am dealt KJs BB 1 guy calls SB 69 i am all in, he calls and wins the hand. BTW sorry my english spelling is such a bad

I have tried this strategy have done very well in freerolls but you do rely a lot on luck. For the first hour only go all in with AA KK AK suited from any position. From mid-late with no more than 4x BB in front of you also go all in with AK os AQ & QQ otherwise fold. From mid-late raise 4xBB with all pairs down to 66. From Early position limp with same pairs. Limp also from any position with suited connectors down to 67 and also limp with Ax Suited & Kx Suited.
POST FLOP
With a pair and over cards on the board, a 4 flush or 4 straight bet 2x the minimum bet, call raises up to 4x the minimum bet or 20% of your stack. Fold to bigger bets.
With top pair or 2 pair and an unpaired board bet 4x the minimum but fold to any raise more than 50% of your stack unless you have top 2 pair and there is no chance of a flush or straight. Consider re-raising all in if this happens.
With trips, straights, full houses, etc. try to slow play after the flop. If you don’t get any action put in some big raises and end there.
With a bit of luck it will stand you in great stead for the final part of the freeroll which is when you tighten up and play your game. Your mileage will vary.
I got this strategy from a chap and it had worked well for both him & I.

I love freerolls! sure, the fluctuations are greater because of the bad-beats u suffer. But if I can´t win against all the bad players, how can I exspect to win $10 MTT? I have done very well in various freerolls by limping in with Ax suit and all pairs. When I hit the flush/set some freerollmaniac pays me off. And a generel understanding of, and a gameplan for, tournaments is invaluable in any tournament.
