Not sure if there was already a thread like this,I didnt see one so just decided to make this one
My goals: - $15K profit (or more) pre rakeback - Supernova VIP Status on Pokerstars - At least 25000 games (I'll play SNGs ~95% of the time) - getting a 4 digit cash in a MTT

Nice thread idea.. Interestingly, I basically haven't played poker since I ran into you that time on PKR haha.. took a nice long break..Had a play over the last couple days, just went through some tickets and PKR points.. Won myself a masters seat for the 8th too which is nice..
* (discipline) don't play drunk, tired, etc. * Stick to some kind of bankroll management * 5 figure MTT score * Get a positive SNG shark scope! * Profit?

you know i hadnt really set out any goals yet lmfao. great thread glad you posted. lets see i definately like yours mate dont sell yourself short you went for the gold standard thats awesome. so my biggest goal is to cash out atlest 6 times next year (once every two months) id also like to make a 4 digit cash in mtt thats something i haven't done yet. as far as total amount earned i dont really have a goal set for that but anything over 2k is good for me. oh and id like to make leaderboard on here every month in 2012 both for stars and pp.

Never thought of setting any goals and I must say yours, in my eyes are very high, but that's just me. I actually have taken a couple hours to give this some thought now that it's been brought up. Please understand since losing my BR in FT on "Black Fridya I've been skeptical.
1. Research a poker site that I can feel safe and confident in. 2. I'd like to stablize my play in the SnG's (nothing above $10.00 + $1). 3. Play in the mid line tournies (the weekly tournies). 4. Continue to read & stay a faithful member here at BRM (learned a lot here).

To have as much fun as I can while I can, I will be doing other things other then playing poker, namely learning and teaching. But if I had one Goal it would be to final table the Sunday Million. It has always been a Dream of mine to win this, but who knows how the cards will flop at the end of it all.

Seriously, I never set goals. I just play to win. With poker, you'll never know when you'll be up or down, what's important is to always bring your a-game.

i dont know if you were or not but that was an awesome southpark quote change lmfao. step one steal underpants, step two....., step three profit!!!
- Be paid back from Full Tilt Poker!!!!! - Don't drop poker after the changes that will happen in Spain because of the new laws. - EV+ - Win a Sunday Million
1) to get at least to bronze level on stars 2) not to lose my bankroll when i'm on tilt 3) play at least one live tournament 4) maintain a stable bankroll for the level that i'm playing
p.s. a few more serious goals would be:
5) find a babe who would suck my balls when i'm playing poker 6) start a coaching business- "how to become a great play money poker player" and make few millions from that

I'd agree with you for low-volume players here,it's totally possible to be down overall over ~1000 games or so,however a downswing cant last forever,it's just a mathematical impossibility, and if someone is down after 3K or so SNGs at one specific stake they're doing something very wrong

Nice posts all keep em coming
Actually mathematical it is possible, just unlikely and it would depend on how much they are down, however if you are constantly losing chances are poker is not a game for you. You always set goals, even when you play just that 1 game, your goal is to take a first place, if you don't set this very simple goal then you have no strategy.

Oh and I would like to meet Annie Duke, I really enjoy the way she plays Poker. Gotta give the lady respect as she does this not only for the enjoyment of the game but as her career. Pays the bills and supports her husband whom I think is awesome as he stays at home while she is playing poker.
