After seeing a post by one of our BRM members I decided to try out Hero Poker and hit the freerolls. After a successful $0.50 win I decide to deposit $10 and enter a $5.50 1R/1A $2K Guarantee. A run of AA in the first hour holding up and going into the 2nd hour I played tight as a horses but KK holding QQ holding 99 Holding 3 times. Finally after 3 hours 30 minutes we are in final table cards aren't all good and I have around 17 BBs which are 2K/4K after losing on another table half my stack AK vs 22 but biding my time and waiting for the plump hands I lasted out 319 players to win 3rd $376.43 Yahoo time to with draw some of the winnings and buy something nice for the wife and kiddies. Thank you pokershark74 for guiding me to Hero poker....

Posted by Tchungpo: Hehe, good game mate !! Just care about Bankroll management now (i mean deposit of 10 and playing a5$ R/A is a bit risky ^^ but sometime, worth it ).
best of fun with your family
You are assuming that the $10 deposited was OP's entire bankroll which I doubt.
After last year I only have enough on site to play for the next week or so, most of my BR is in Neteller.
Anyway congrat's to arthur72, that's an excellent result

Congrats author72! That's a nice way to start out at a site one recently joins. I'm still hanging in the micros, but at least I can place every 3 games I enter. Hope you continue to do well at Hero and Good Luck to All!

Thank you all very much for the show of support. After seeing and reading a lot of threads on here I decided that I would set a goal of final table which I achieved, also I set a goal not to play and crap hands and play tight/aggressive for the first Hour, which I achieved, next I set a goal to then open my range a little more meaning AQ, AJ, small pocket pairs and such which I achieved. Then my final goal wash to cash some out - that is still pending I have sent through the documents to Hero Poker and hopefully should here back from them soon.
Congrats arthur, now it s only matter of time when you ll finish on top again.
Wanted to try out that room for a while now couldnt manage to download it for some reason. I tried now again and it worked. Looks promising, i noticed it even has an option to deal it twice in a cash game. Neat stuff.

Your story is great, is gives the will to go to the PC and start playing at Hero Poker! I believe you already have some experience in the game, right? The way you tell it seems a bit nuts (no offense): you played a freeroll and won $0.50, and that was enough to make you take the decision of depositing $10 and invest more than half the value you put in the room ($5.50) in just one tourney that, lucky for you, had a huge return! I still haven’t got the chance to download the room, each time I try it always tells me the limit of downloads per day has already been reached. But when it’s possible, I will sure try my skills there!

I just decided it was time to play and by play I mean the way I used too before I left the game for a year or two, and yes I have huge nuts when it comes to playing tourneys, at the end of the day $$$$ money is money whether its $5 or $1000 makes no difference to me I just know that when I need it I can get it.
