Depending on you. If you feel comfortable playing fiftys, come on. What I can say is that $35 is a small bankroll to start with. I remember I started with $20 and I was playing $0.20 for a year. After my bankroll grew a little up, I realized that I was playing almost freerolls because playing levels so low is playing almost for free, so ... a lot of donks and bingopoker players.

I see everyone has good advice, but I'm not a very experienced player and seem to do very well playing in the micro SnG's. Any of the following are good games to get in: $1 +.10 18 or 27 Players $2 +.20 18 or 27 Players I also like the 45 player SnG's and if your a halfway decent player you should be able to place in the money 1 out of every 3 games on average. This is opinions so maybe you should check out several of the low By-in games to find what suits you best. Good Luck to All!

Probably avoid multi-table tournaments for the time being, as they have a lot more inherit variance than single tables do, and even if you know you can crush the level comfortably, 30 buyins just isn't enough should you hit a long cooler.
Even for STT's, 30 BI is kinda low, but if that's what you got to work with, that's probably your best bet. DON's are a great way to build a roll, as they are probably the best STT format with the lowest variance possible. 30 BI is more than adequate for dons, even if you're only slightly better than a break even player.

30-35 bucks is not enough money for a decent bankrollmanagement, unless the room you are playing has tourneys with a buy-in of less than one dollar. Maybe you can play a few DONs, and if you make it to $50, start playing $1 tourneys.

I agree that 30-35$ is not enough for decent bankroll management and there's not much you can do except deposit but that's not always an option. But don't worry imo bankroll management is over-rated. I'm not saying that it's not a good idea to plan against variance but playing micro-limits can lead to more variance, since there's more loose aggression and more showdowns which cancels out any strategic buy-in formula. Likewise if you play stakes or tourney structures you are uncomfortable with you will lose buy-ins more quickly than if you take risks with games you can win.
So my advice is play where you feel like a winning player and worry about brm when you have a decent stack to lose. After all if you play for fun there are always more no deposit bonuses and if you play for money you can always deposit some of your own.

I agree. I built up from similar Bankrolls playing STT´s.
DoN´s I don´t like, but that´s personal. Definitely the "safest" way to go and build if you absolutely want to keep that roll and build it up. Least varience of ALL NL Holdem variants.
