Happy valentines day all! and i hope the love in the air will bring luck to my game
just finishing up break on the 5 am brm this morning sitting pretty good with 38k and blinds at 400/800 with a small ante. ive been playing well and with two very lucky hands one being an AQ all in pre flop against someone KK and flopping both my ace and my queen. then more rescently just before break i reraised with ace ten to isolate a small all in ended up calling a bit larger of an all in then my raise and hitting a ten to win a large pot. so things are going well.
on a the down side i havent been able to do very well in the 1k freerolls yet they are quite the donkfest and hard to get far in with such a huge feild. and also i didnt do anywhere near as well in the top 200 BRM yesturday as i played very bad and in my opinion didnt deserve to get any further then i did.

Ive been playing quite well tonight and seen some pretty crazy hands along the way as per usual, there was lots of ups and downs all night and even busting a 20 dollar win but never fear one uping is here!!!!
Tonights wins: $20 3rd place finish in the tri 100 (gone but who the flip cares) $11 top 9 finish in the MTT 99 and the piece to resistants the second place finish in the second tri 100 for 30 buckaroos!!!!
I admit i could have played a little better heads up in the last tournament but i am happy with my finish and actually came so close to bubbling when a donkey player who goes by barneyiscool hit a boat eights full of nines with nine eight off against my Queen nine suited knocking me almost close to out and preceeding to calling me "bubble boy bitch" well he did cash so sadly he wasnt bubbled but behind me
wont be all for this early morning poker for moi... off to go play a few sngs perhaps an MTT if there are any good ones coming up.

------------ on a side note... still finding it impossible to make it far in the 1k freerolls lol. today i had A K hit my king on the flop ended up two pairing on river and going all in to find myself against an ace ace eek!!!!!

A joyous night in the 24 hour poker world (lately not so much 24 hour but what eva!)
if you read my post from earlier on the poker forum i played a really great HU cash game to turn 20 bucks into just over a hundred. and before that had been winning or placing well in all the one table as well as other small SnGs i played this evening. going up and down ofcourse till my big boost
I actually had the most remarkable 5 dollar buy in hyper turbo 6 seater. From hand one i simply could not do wrong all my strong hands held all my steals worked, everything went right i ended up knocking out every other player at the table. i had so many monster starting hands i was just waiting for one of them to get cracked it just didnt come. nice $21 cash
Well im doing quite well and in a great mood for my weekly paper route... esspecially the nice fat joint my cousin will roll for us to smoke. thats all for now my mobster amigos!!!! as always see ya on the felt

Just thought id take sometime to make a post and also check the forum as ive been a wee bit absent from brm in the last little while. hope all is well with everyone.
currently im playing in the 1k gtd 55 cent on stars and doing relitively well. if i make final table ill make a video of it and post it. i dont tape many games as i find it makes the game go so slow lol but i want to get more videos on here so ill bare threw

------------ unfortunately my good run in the 55 cent ran short lol had AK and limped with blinds at 400 and a stack of about 29k, guy who had been playing quite a bit puts a re-raise of 1600. i suspect he has something like AQ so i three bet to 5k at this point its just me and him and he shoves for like 20k knowing its the right call i regrettfully put in a good portion of my stack.
he indeed has an AQ suited and preceeds to flop a flush draw
i turn my king and am looking to fade any diamond and im sitting pretty for the rest of the tournament, ofcouse the river is his flush and as per usual the worst hand takes it.

havent posted in a while so i figured id say a few things, have had some bad luck mixed with bad play and terrible bankroll management. busted a few deposites on stars aswell as a nice run on hero from freerolls busted
was nice to play a little plo today with micro hadnt played with him in a while. just wanted to say gl with your micro millions venture bro! maybe if i pull my s**t together ill see ya at some big final tables
had a quick out in the brm today started off ok had jacks first hand but due to two overs only was able to make a small pot. few hands later its limped to me in late position i have A 4 so i limp flop comes A 4 Q and a guy shoves thinking hes on the flush draw that is out there i call and to my surprise he had limped AQ the bugger, im down to like 450 chips and get AK the next hand the same guy put a bet big enough to put me all in so natually i call so do a few others and that guys luck holds when three dueces on board make his full house with his pocket queens, ofcourse i had four cards to a flush as per usual the poker gods like to give me hope before crushing me lmfao.
any who going to eat now once again was nice to see you on hero micro and as always to everyone ill see ya on the felt

Reading on variance explains just how this is supposed to happen. Its supposed to be a part of the game and even winning 95% of the time means u still lose 5% of the time. Retributions post about "tilt" is something ive been just now at he nailed it.

I was reading up on micros blog and found a nice tidbit he wrote (left the end part in the quote just for you micro hehe )
I completely agree with him so many times ive lost a tournament to go into the next one with the negativity of the previous loss and surprise surprise you have yourself another lose!
so things have been pretty slow lately not much going on, i had made some deposits and messed up with the 100k reload bonus so i emailed pokerstars and quite quickly they got back to me saying they added my 100k tourny tickets as well as a $5.50 micro millions tickets i was eligible for
so this saturday i will be playing in the micromillions event 24 which is a PLO 15k guarantee, with some luck in the 100k freerolls i should be able to play a few other micro millions events aswell.
tonight i will be playing one of the 100k's and my goal is to final table, the last one i played i did cash how ever it was not very much. i made a couple plays that i regret that chipped away at the nice stack i had built up and there were a few sick situations as there usually are all in all i played well minus a few key hands and im starting to get use to the type of play needed to make it far in this particular tournament.
on brm leaderboardnews i pretty well bubbled a tournament tonight finishing 119th there was really only one hand that sticks out to me. i had 6s in the bb with about 13k stack. guy in late position shoves his 8k stack in and me feeling lucky and praying hes doing this move with 5s lmfao i call. he shows K 10 off (why someone would risk there tourny life that close to the money with that hand is beyond me but to each is own ) sure enough he hits a ten on the flop and i am cut down quite a bit. tis poker
well if anyone even reads my blog hope ill have some videos to post in the coming days as well as some nice cashes to go with

------------ UPDATE: first hand of 100k i get pocket cowboys for a tripple up and pretty well fold my way to this.... AK off with a king high board on turn i foolishly call a guys all in who turns out to have AQ and a straight next hand AK off call for my remaining 555 chips end up in with two other aces and chopping with the two pair on the board ace kicker finally on my third AK off in a row i make a nice pot against some poker jacks when i turn my ace to beat him. after a couple other nice hands i built back up a respectable stack but it was a close call for sure. well im back at it cheers mates!

HAPPY SAINT PATTY'S TO ALL!!!! may your beers be green! your spirits be high! and your pots be big!
So tonight was my night for my first micro millions event (PLO 15k) for the first 40 mins or so i was doing quite well and had built up a nice stack however after one crucial hand where i had a nice enough starting hand to go to the flop and flopped top pair plus flush draw i was forced to fold on the turn after investing just under half my stack and it just kept getting worse after that until i made a silly move that ended my tournament.
On the bright side however i registered to my second 1fpp sat. to micro millions event 25, these sat. are 30 man hyper turbo sng (more like crapshoots) but i ended up winning a ticket to round two which happened to start five mins after the end of round 1 and in turn managed to barely hold on with litterally one blind and one ante left when we were on the bubble, lucky for me hand to hand had started and i was able to get aq ticket to micro millions event 25 which also happened to start up right away when the round 2 was over.
so before i knew it i was sitting at a table at event 25 which is a 5k guaruntee (which with most of these has already well exceeded that 5k prize pool)
currently still playing at that event aswell as one of the 100k freerolls.

------------ on a side note: ive recently just discovered Daniel Negreanu's vlog on youtube and seeing as he is my all time favourite player i caught up on that today for those interested he goes by dnegreanu on youtube and the vlog is called the weekly rant.
on a poker note: the flopped flush draw strikes once again! as some of you know i really really really really really despise flopped flush draws like seriously can not stand them.
so i made a real dumb move doubling up a guy v(had jack ten suited and foolishly called his all in preflop) yes so that was a really bad move i know in my heart i knew when i clicked call but i mean we have all been there. after this i managed to hold on for a little while winning a few small pots until i get some nice pot odds on a min raised pot with a suited jack seven (again in foresight really dumb hand to play) and as per usual when i decide to shoot for a flush the poker gods grant me the flopped flush draw. anyways im sure you can guess what happened there.
it was a foolish play and i should know better to both the hands that eventually brought the end of my tournament run in event 25 but live and learn i guess still doing well in 100k freeroll always got to focus on the positives and as the great Kevin Nealon once said in happy gilmore "focus on the good block out the bad.. focus, good... block bad' dont know if anyone will get the reference but ill throw it out there anyway lol
oh had one of my nicest flops ever in that event too had queen nine of clubs and flopped a straight flush.
------------ 03/18/2012 well its just after midnight here in Toronto and i am still at it! at the 100k that is... playing quite well and keeping micros quote above in mind as i didn't play my best earlier in both the micro millions i played. heres a bit i wrote while i was playing hope you enjoy
utg with JJ pop to 10k with blinds at 1250/2500 ante: 400 a guy two spots to my left calls (tight player from what i can tell pretty solid) flop comes all low with two clubs bet 12700 he min raises so i flat thinking probaly flush draw with two overs to my jacks a dud turn card dont even remember what it was lol river is indeed the third spade a queen so trying to do some pot controll i put out a 10k bet into the 80k pot he flats and turns over the JQ of spades!!!!!! had no reason to raise the flop but did anyway grrrr im very impressed that i mamaged to salvage 97k of my 145k stack it could have been alot more and currently im still in the tournament doing moderately well. side note im a polite person in general (though i can have quite the mouth on me heehee) and havin chat banned yes i cant respond to idiots or curse people for bad behaviour and yes i cant even call a mod if someone is breaking chat rules or flat out insulting me but i think what bothers me most is i cant say thank you when someone say nice hand!!!! been some ups and downs as there always is as you get deep in a tournament im currently sitting around the middle of the pack which IMO is perfectly fine for this point in the tournament (some relevent stats: 72 out of 136 left from = 10185 entrants, blinds:$2500/$5000,ante:$1000, prize pool:$2583.40, 1st 366.86) was down to 45k from a failed bluff but was able to jump back in a rather lucky hand up to 116k... eights full of fives ergo nuts well its time to focus and remember to play tight while trying to mantaine a good table image. cheers all! if i make final table i plan on video taping that part.

down to final 31 sitting comfortably and playing a solid pretty much monster or fold type game as i have noticed that the players at my table (and im assuming all the rest left) are reasonable skilled as well as i have yet to see anyone f**k up huge every hand seemed justified on both ends. really excited to possibly make final table and be able to video tape it!!!
just wanted to quickly update cheers for now!!!
------------ RESULTS: finished 19th for five and change...
So not the greatest finish but by no means the worst, overall i am happy with how i played and except for one or two hands i wouldnt do much different if i could do it over
was sitting with 100k and in the big blind and get dealt king queen of clubs, big blinds 40k so short of god himself coming down and telling me to fold i am all in no matter what.
only had one oppenent who had shoved for a more then me and he has pocket tens
to no surprise at all i flop two clubs. but i dont want to be negitive lol after all i did finish in top twenty out of a 10k field and money is money
oh ya lol two offsuit fours where the next cards lol good luck to all of you at the tables and i hope to see some off you around!!!!
