Phil Gordons math on Stu's career  0
Hey....I just saw this article on a danish poker site, thought it was interesting so I would share it with you.
Personally I think it's pretty obvious that poker is a skill game with a luck factor. Like some pro said (cant remember who) in the end of the year it's allways the good players who have the money and not the lucky Big Smile

Haha I allmost forgot...link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/columns/story?colu...

that is very interesting, i particlarly liked his chance of losing in heads up games overall even when you have an edge over your oponnent

wow that actually is very interesting actually... thanx for posting that Big Smile but it really is a game of skill because they lucky players cant get lucky all the time and like you said (and like the ftp commercial says...) thats why the final table has so many familiar faces

lol yea it was a pretty complex formula if your seeing something like that for the first time but i took a course in high school a while back that was all about probabilty and chances of something happening and stuff.. it was a pretty hard course thinking back on it

Nice article, thanks for sharing. I was reading Phil Gordan's little green book but didn't finish it, maybe I'll finish it. BTW, Ill look over the math a little later, too tired right now, its interesting Smile

There's a lot of luck in poker. If you want a skill game than chess is a good game.

Next Sunday check out Jordan Morgan in FTP 750K guarantee he is allmost allways in that tourney and in top 50 out 3800-4000 players it's so sick. He must be a pretty "lucky" dude Cool

Never heard of Jordan Morgan. Just checked and hes pretty young. I don't really have a FTP account, well I did but I haven't logged in it for more than a year and no longer have the software on my computer. And that is pretty sick, whats the prize for 50th?

Ehh don't know around 2-3K I think(just a guess) but I think I've seen two final tables don't know how many FT's he has or which position he came in it's just running in the background Cool

the thing is that stu ungar is easily the best poker player in history and phil gordon is the biggest loser in world so i wont hear any phil gordons sayings!!!!!!!

Then there is no reason for you to post here....a negative statement without explanation. If you dont wonna look stupid you could argument for your opinoin instead of just throwing a stupid statement.
