Right clicking doesnt work...

So frustrating

Don't click. You should keep the mouse button pressed, and then drag the element into position, just like you drag a window by the title bar, only with the other mouse button.

It is a classic example of bad user interface design, since it is so unintuitive....

HUD doesn't work for PKR anyhow.. I won't be using the HUD.. I had a quick look at it, but haven't really had the time to have a proper play yet.. But I'll be using it for HH review, etc.

Are you sure? I think it should. Have you configured the PKR client to save hand histories, and told HEM to import them from that location?

Figured it out.

you have to click on the cog symbol and then move the seat to align with the stats..

Doh!

Oh dear..

I haven't played cash in a long time.. So I thought I'd start at fairly small stakes and have a session and then have a look in HEM:

I played about 750 hands of .25/.50 ( 9 tabling on PKR).

I managed to lose around $350.00 and I ran about $100 below EV. So I should have *only* lost about $250 lol.

So glad I started small stakes, I haven't been a cash game reg in quite a while now.

So anyway - basically I'm far far too loose aggressive according to HEM.. PFR and VPIP through the roof.. 3bet% through the roof.. haha everything through the roof.

Had a crack at the Leak Buster demo - that seems pretty good actually - I might buy that too I think.

Will have another session later and apply some of the tips from Leak Buster and see how I go!

'Glad' to see someone else is playing like me..

My vpip was way over what it should be and so were numerous other stats.

I find Hem2 is great for my own stats never mind anyone elses.

But yeah i was being an aggression machine - some tables i was tripling up, on others losing 4xmedium stack

A 350 drop is nasty though!

Seriously i swear the program is a curse, managed to drop $35 off my BR using it, only just managed to claw back a little and figure out a good HUD layout.

Finding the HUD to be a real pain in the ass on 888 network, never over the proper player, really pissed at that.

I'm loving being able to track my progress however with graphs and being able to see where i'm losing dough and a whole gang of other bits of info.

Good luck next time

Shame I can't use the HUD on PKR - I've got hopes though; PKR is soon to release a version with each table in it's own window - once that has been released HEM will be able to develop a proper PKR HUD and then Boom!

Have a go at the Leak Buster demo if you haven't already; it's pretty nifty.. Some of the features are locked out in the trial version though - so I think I might grab that too!

It is to be expected... I imagine this happens to a lot of people. Not only is the HUD enormously distracting, it's also knowing your statistics are being tracked, that changes the way you play (observer effect)...

I don't think there is any way around it; having that much data on your screen is distracting, there is no way to present it without it becoming overwhelming, so HEM is not to blame.

I recommend dropping to lower stakes, or just play freerolls, for a few days, until you are used to it.

Hah.. man I ran bad today..

Played some more nl50

total hands: 1456
Total loss: $381.00
EV adjusted loss: $100

So i ran a sweet 5.5 buyins ($281.00) below EV ! in just ~1500 hands.. fucking sick.

I also managed to run $87.00 below EV on HU 50c/$1 and $25 below EV on PLO 50c/$1

I actually feel a lot better about it having HEM2 now though - quite a loss for the day, but my total EV adjusted hands for the day (including all limits and tables sizes) is actually profit: ~$20

------------
The upper most line (orange) is EV adjusted loss and bottom line (green) is actual loss (this is for nl .25/.50 only).

That hurts when you play correct but still get gyped.

My cash game EV is -$7.50 as opposed to actual loss of $12.00

My tournament EV is awesome, -$12.00 to $EV of +$168 - i've been getting donked on so bad and obviously tournament poker has different EV properties, some EV spots are profitable, others aren't even though they look like they are.
