Suggestions for changes to the "post for points" system.  0
Seems like some people are in a bad mood at the moment and taking it out on other people in here, because of them posting alot Big Smile

Anyway - feel free to post your suggestions to what YOU think will be the best change(s) to the Mob Poinst system when it comes to earning points for posting in the forum?

Any suggestions are welcome, but only the serious ones of course.

And this thread is only for suggestions and discussing about the suggestions itself, if somebody starts calling names or talk about anything else, then the posts will be deleted (just so you know it).

Let's hear what you have to say.

Maybe marco(wasn't sure if it was him) was right after all about removing the points for posting. recent posts are almost always the same. may be what you could do is to drastically lower the points earned through posting and use it somewhere else like mobsafe, referrals, promotions, raffles etc. or just to charity.

I would prefer limit the amount of posts somebody can get points for, to max 5 per day. Of course you can post as much as you want, but only 5 posts will give points. Then we can always adjust the number to a lower or higher number if necessary.

With 5 "paid" posts a day then it will take at least 125 days to earn enough points for a 5000 points ($50) cashout.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the points system in and around itself. Ithink making amendments to the points sytem is unfair and unjust against those people who post when they actually have a constructive opinion ragarding someone else's thread.

The issue here seems to be against people who have managed to rack up more than 50-100 posts since joining in April.

My suggestion would be that maybe points should only be awarded when someone replies to a thread that is maybe only a couple of days old. Therefore people who only have say 30 posts since joining at the beginning of March do not get penalised. Afterall the system was a wee carrot to have the likes of me to join 'THE BANKROLL MOB FAMILY'.

P.S Can I have my points for the post please. Tongue

Hi, Admin I was in the middle of constrcuting my response before you posted there.

That also seems like a good idea as then only the recent threads will benefit from this.

P.S, Can I have my points for this post please. Big Smile

What do you mean, have points for your post? That's done automatically if it qualifies.

But maybe a combination of:

1) Last post in thread may not be older than 1 week (a thread that's 3 months old can still be active with updates once in a while, so the date we should look at is the "last post in thread"-date.

2) Max 5 paid posts per day. It may not sound as much, but think about this: Myself, I have 1700 posts for about 210 days. That's an average of 8 posts a day. So most people don't even have an average as high as 5 posts a day. Only those who come here to post alot the first few days to earn points will have a high "posts per day"-average the first week or so, after that it starts to go down.

I like the idea of only awarding points for the first 5 posts of the day. give or take about 10 posts per day with points and thats okay. or start at 5 then raise as the member gets older.

- i believe that you can't complain to what is given to you for free, no matter how small it is.

OFFTOPIC: Admin will the points earned through referral be revised? I'm doing good at reffring now and its a shame to see so much in level 3. maybe the follow up emails from BRM would increase the conversion to level 1.

I think that limiting would be the best idea. That way there would not be so many old threads coming up and those who hunt points would be contained in reasonable numbers. Also people who post for some reason and only where they want to will still get reward.

You're right, it's hard to complain about something that's free Smile
I will start looking at the "max 5 paid posts per day" thing soon, shouldn't be a problem. Then we'll see what happens.

OFFTOPIC:
If you mean the paytable, then yes - points will always be revised when we have new data available. But the current paytable is based on the data we've had for years now, so it's not just random numbers based on how much we like a country because of the weather or such Smile For instance, brazil was the last country to be removed from some of the offers (nothing to do with Mob Points though), but it turned out that the quality of the players from brazil that received a certain bankroll was terrible, so we have to focus on offering the money to countries where we can expect a better ROI.

Punish the guys who abuse it instead of the regulars. We get aprox 1 new member pr month who doesn't understand what the mob points is for so give them a week/a couple of days and a note why they got a time out.
Some days I make 0 post's and others I may post 14 post's so it would def hurt my mob account with max 5 pr day. It's peanuts but the peanuts that attracted me Smile
