Yeah man - satellites are a great way to go.
PKR has very few actual satellites - mostly just these 'lotteries' where it's a HU table and everyone is allin by default every hand, so it literally plays out as a lottery (you just watch, you don't get to click any buttons).
So you can't get an edge in them so they're -EV to play long-term (due them being raked).
But proper satellites are a great way to go - they're often full of total fish.
I quite often play the masters stages at
PKR - stage 1 is $1.99 and you win to stage2 then to stage 3 and if you win that you get a masters ticket ($270BI, $100KGTD) - I've managed to win 3 masters tickets so far, but no cashes yet
But even so, get great value from the stages - I just buy the stage 1 tickets with
PKR points - and if I say get to stage 2 and miss a stage 3 ticket, I might still cash for $8 and likewise for $45 in stage 3. So they nice little bankroll boosters even if you don't make it whole way through.
