Well, as you may get from the title, celeb poker and titan poker are merging. Basically the idea is to take every account+funds and move them from celeb poker to titan poker and they would still have the same usernames and passwords. This will happen in just a few days.
What are your thoughts on this? Will it be for the better or the worse? Will it have a big impact on the traffic? Will this attract more players?

As they both are using the same software it seems to me that tere will be not much difference after the merge. Only the player pool is going to be bigger
I personnally don t like the big pokersites as on a smaller one it s easier to collect info from other players

I don't have account at titan.. so i can't talk about it. I play on celeb tho like a "part time" project.. it is fun to play there and trying to build a BR.. been doing ok for now. So for me it's a very interesting idea.. celeb has an nice SNG plataform.. cash game is good too and kinda soft for low levels at least (haven't tried the rest) .. but the MTT variety and amount of tournaments/freerolls/promotions is just plain awful. I hope and believe this merge will bring better MTT .. alot more players and a bunch of good stuff so yes i love it.

Don´t have accounts on any of both sites, but I guess a merger always help to get a bigger player pool. So its easier to find games you would like to play. Maybe I will have a closer look at Titan in near future.

Same prefer smaller sites, easier to win tourneys too.

I have both accounts and if I am correct they play the same tables I am sure, so it aint changed that much for us who have both accounts its jkust going to be difficult I am sure knowing what to do with both sites accounts, I only want one account and it will be on Ttan obviously so I probably will ask them to delete the the cele p[oker because its will eventually be a pain when I cash out so will be stopping any problems right away so has not to have any problems with that matter wot do u lot say about that issue

i guess it's no big deal- both sites trying to cut costs (marketing, wages) in order to run operations profitably. for the average joe who is holding an account at any/both sites it's nothing but a few more screens to get accustomed to, maybe they will have some sort of merging promo- so you might ger a few in your pocket out of this

It wont change anything in the number of players since its the same network. Now the noticeable changes of course will be the tournaments which used to have, plus the points reward system.

Is this sure? Both rooms are in the iPoker network what did they have with a fusion? They use the same player pool and the same software and so i think there are no reasons for united rooms.

They are going after a bigger client base obviously with less expenses. How long ago was it when Chilli poker joined with Poker770? Both were in the ipoker network. We are gonna see more merges in the future.
If and when the US government allow online gaming, you can rest assured Ipoker will be the first site that gets a license. If I recall they made an agreement with the US government almost instantly to stop taking US players. They have quietly kept out the limelight and allowed all the furore to happen to Party Gaming, FTP, PS, Cake, Merge and Ultimatebet.
Should they get granted a license, I suspect Titan will take over many of the smaller Ipoker sites and aim for a large section of the US market, which I strongly suspect the US government will allow due to their compliance.
Its highly possible that by refusing US players so quickly, the US government will allow them a license, whilst refusing some of the more welll known US sites. That would give them a huge playing field and make them a serious threat to PS.

I had a Celeb Poker account which has now migrated to titan. I cannot access the Titan site to download the software and I'm not getting replies to my e-mails to Customer Support.
I have about $100 in my account and no way of getting it back. Is this going to be another "FullTilt"?

Now that i've tried it.. honestly i don't see that much of a difference.. tournament wise seems a bit the same maybe a few more . SNG and cash formats are exactly the same.. only big difference is the traffic.. you can find much more games at every hours which is pretty good if you wanna become/are a regular at a specific game.. so you can multitable.
All in all was nice i understand their decision and i think it was a good call.

That's interesting, could really have an effect on licenses being dished out.
However if they granted a license to Titan or the likes, there's no merit for not letting a huge site like Ps or FTP one as well.
