At Party allmost all the shortrings have DP (disconnection protection, not all-in protection) so if I could I would chose not to play at DP tables but very few tables are without DP

In Pokerstars, theres all-in protection tables and no all - in protection tables. If a player disconnects in an all-in protection than its like they are all in but they do not have to commit any more chips. If a player disconnects at a no all - in protection than they are given like 30 sec extra time and if they do not reconnect than the hand is folded. I don't like all-in protection because of how easy it is to cheat so I play at the no all - in protection tables.
I guess its different at Party Poker, I never really played there so I wouldn't know.

i hate the dinconnection protect because they can get to showdown very cheap when they accidently lost the connection so i am doing like you i am hgoint to report disconnect abuse to support every time i see that happen.

I reckon that this disconnect protection should just be not allowed altogether,,, sure if your sitting with the nuts and you get disconnected you will be and should be gutted,,, but the oportunity for the cheaters outways the misfortune of that situation,, the site i play on like most doesnt have a disconnect protection option,,,,,,,,however I must admit that in a real high stakes cash game the protection would be justified if the players agree beforehand,,, but its a catch 22 thing,,,,,,,,,,,,at least if u dissalow the protection its a level playing field , all will risk the disconnect variable,, but again my thoughts go to the cash game ,, say $50-100,,, 3k pot and bang you have the nuts and disconnected,,,,,hmmmmm

i dont play on a site with protection and even if the sites aint clamping down on it more harshly thay should, because if not the just incourage it,,and am still dissapointed thoughts you where straight reading yer posts,,,,so kaysara

I don't play cash games so doesn't effect me but if I could save $5, $10 dollars by a dirty trick than why not..But if I was running a pokerroom than I'd definitely implement stronger rules so you can't do that.

I hear what all you guys are saying and in my opnion its plain wrong, however the sits offer you this and even let you buy more, so whos to blaim, if they dont want this to be abused (knowing full well it will) then why offer it, all sites should give the 30sec or if you have bad probs with the comp buy a 1 min but never all in protection, damn i hate cheats but if i had say 3k riding and no punishment for doing it I think id do it, As humans we seek ways to better ouselvs we are selfish and any advantage given will be abused , keep reporting and the sites may take action dont blame the humans.

Cheating is wrong, weak and illegal. It can not be excused in any way online or IRL and I think it's totally up to the "human" so I blaim the individual for cheating.

ok well my name is commander02 on party poker thats my screen name and i remember you , actualy that was not a cheat and i really did lose connection my modem fell on the ground , and lost connection , so for your information youpice of sh*T i did not do it on purpose and i let party poker know that

That may well be true xpok3rkingx, but u must understand that it looked suspecious and m3 had had enough of ppl doing it to him, just like i am, he was right to report you, " investigation has revealed further suspicious disconnects in the past" i would guess that you did use it for gain and if you didnt then you still should not go around calling names, next time it happens try just saying sorry
