I thought the idea of "step" game (as per most sites Confused ) is that step 1 gives you a ticket to step 2 and then to step 3 etc until you reach the final game and play for cash prizes..

Yeah that was what I thought as well but apparently not at yachting :s

Maybe you can better start on everest, they offer a 10 seqted SNG limit holdm, registration is free and prices are 10 ct
1 st 5ct
2nd 3 ct
3 rd 2 ct

And a lot of players there, so you can play at multible tables

Sure that's an idea but I don't really want to be playing non stop so the time that it takes for a SnG to gill up at yachting, I use for other things that I want to do as well Smile

Good Luck w/ the ppps's Erru. I enjoy challenging myself as well, and it is always a good idea to constantly be practicing. After all, practice does make perfect. Blink The stakes matter not at all...

Exactly! If you only do it for practise then there's no harm in playing super micro stakes Smile

It's a nice way to rebuild your bankroll. You use those points in the better way, which is playing. While you do that, i guess you will be gathering more points (although few because of the low buy-in you're paying), so it's a win win strategy.Keep focused on your strategy, don't go for cash games with all your money, or you can be loosing both money and the points. Only after using those 60 PPP you should take the next step. Cool

I actually don't get any more points for playing for points.
My plan is to use all the 60 points and then move on to DoN's.

I probably wont be playing any more on yachting today so here's another update:

Games played today: 3
Winnings today: €0,12

Total games played: 12
Total winnings: €0,39

Avg. winnings: €0,0325
Games left to play: 48

Potential winnings if avg. continues: €1,95
Maximum potential winnings: €2,79

I've now used up all of my PPP's and I'm happy to say that I ended up €2,23.When I started this, I had 60 points meaning a €3 maximum for me so I'm pretty happy with my results!

Now I'm hitting the DoN tables and see what I can make out of it Tongue

I used to play in yachting...I still have around 35eu there but i stop because the traffic is really low...tables are really slow to fill in SNG...Cash games are good but you will end up playing against good regulars and you have a very little choices in the tables you want to play.. anyway, try betfair they have a good freerolls everyday....And some have comments that its very hard to cash out in yachting this days....GL ....

It's too bad they don't allow player to player transfers there. Busted out there awhile back and have sone rakeback cents in my account...I'd given it to you. Got into it with their support over a cashout and after that it was badbeat city and my roll went for a nosedive. Don't miss it.

I've heard quite a lot about it being hard to withdraw any funds from yachting. I sure hope I won't have any problems when I finally reach the required amount of money to cash out.

New update: I got bored with those DoN's, to much donk play and lucky suck outs for my taste. I moved on to the cash tables which I know I said I wouldn't. Anyway, this far I've built my roll up to a decent €4,92.

------------
I'm now done with Yachting for the day. My bankroll is at €7.50 so I made a profit of €3.44 today from cashgames. That's quite reasonable I think. And the rake I provided to all the pots will boost my bankroll even more since I've got 30% rakeback.

Im my case I had made a deposit bcoz I had magaged to make a fairly good bankroll. Then I withdrew some but left enough to cover my deposit and the NDB. Was a struggle with their support but they let it go. I keep playing but didn't clear the bonus...not enough ppp...and then the downswing...man it was horrible. I managed to recoup enough money to cashout but this time their support wanted me to to earn another 1000ppp to cover the NDB (which had expired). They told me when I deposited the ppp went to the deposit bonus and I still had to clear the NDB bonus before I could cashout. I had no choice so I kept playing and the downswing got way worse. In the end I sat at a 01/02 table and dumped the rest of my roll. They figured out what I had done from the chat box and sent me three emails but I'll never go back there...ever. So if all remains the same you'll need 1000 ppp min to cashout. Btw I offered to give them back the 5 euro NDB and they refused. I had over 1200ppp went I left.

I have experience in building bankrolls from nothing and all i can say to you is don't waste your precious time doing so.
Specially if there is no promotion on site regarding freerolls, if the prizes are so small then it's just not worth your time. Even if you win every freerolls it is a waste of time. If there is some kind of promotion with bigger prizes i would recommend it.
But like this it's much better idea to deposit at least minimum and play micro very patiently. Cheers.

Just to add up to above post.
You'll need at least one MONTH to build up a decent bankroll if you know what you are doing. If you don't tilt and play decent. If you hit bad streak you'll need 2-3 months of time.
So instead of wasting your time you could earn that amount in 2-4 day working non-skill required job and smiply deposit same amount.
Well i hope you get the picture.

Wow, that sounds messed up! Anyway. I do have gathered about 500 PPP's in total so I'm not that far away then I guess Tongue

As I've said a number of times in this thread: I don't really see this as a "0 to X challenge" as much as I see it as a way to practice on my SnG skills.

I have tried this myself a few times and I find it to be a fun way to play poker with somebody else's money, and sometimes a way to get back to basics and just have fun instead of focusing solely on bankroll. Very satisfying IMO when you take nothing or almost nothing and turn it into a nice amount of money. GL with your challenge erru9107!

New update:

I've just played my last hand at yachting for at least a few weeks I think. I had just over €7 and I decided to gamble a bit so I took €5 onto a cash table. It started out really bad with me going down to €3,50. Then things started to turn around for me. I hit monster after monster, my BB crap hands got payed off on the flop, my AA's and KK's hit trips on the flop and got massively payed off.

Long story short, I entered the table with €5 and left with just over €33. This brought my bankroll up to €35 in total and just after this post, I'm going to apply for a cash out, bank the money on my "Poker Winnings Bank Account" and see if I can use that money for something good later on, maybe some stuff for when I finally get an apartment =)
